My wife and I were very interested in trying this place when they first opened. We tried it so early, that they didn’t have a Google page setup for it yet to post my review! Now I’m catching up on the places I reviewed and posting the recap of how everything went! When we walked into Ivywild, of course it’s a conglomeration of different restaurants and bars that you could go to. The place is a popular meeting ground for those near downtown or south Colorado Springs. As a result, this place will probably get very busy soon (if they aren’t already)! My wife wanted pizza and I I obliged and we went for something different than the typical NY pizza, but Detroit style. We had no clue until we ordered that this would be Detroit style pizza. I ordered the cheese and she ordered the pepperoni and we had to get cheesy bread. The cheesy bread was more oily than cheesy, but still really good overall. The pizzas were very good and came fresh out of the oven. Very happy to see how “fresh out of the oven” are pizzas were. Their marinara sauce for dipping the bread (and for the pizzas themselves) was the clear standout star of the pizza. Tons of flavor and perfect temperature. Overall, I would happily go back and order the same things. I think it cost relatively around $25-$30 which isn’t bad.

Easily the best Detroit-style pizza in Colorado Springs, in our opinion. It seems like they’ve been tinkering with their sauce recipe, as it just seemed to have more flavor and body than it did in some of our previous visits. We totally get that Detroit-style may not be everyone’s thing, but we certainly enjoy it. The service was good and the employees have always been very nice to deal with. As far as atmosphere, having a bunch of bars, restaurants, and stores in the old Ivywild school is a pretty good idea. You can find a lot of different things in easy walking distance. So, if you’re ever feeling like trying a different take on pizza, try Detroit-style. Try Decent Pizza Co. We recommend it!

Well we ordered the animal lovers vegan pizza and a build your own with vegan cheese and I realized after the first bite of the byo that it was definitely NOT VEGAN CHEESE! As a strict vegan and having paid extra for vegan cheese to then consume dairy (which I get sick from eating) was really a bummer. My dining partner said oh well and just ate both of the pizzas instead of actually getting it corrected, because their error didn't impact him. Yeah, I know...🙄, but he didn't want to wait another 45 minutes for a tiny square of pizza. But just putting it out there to be careful because ordering and paying extra for vegan doesn't mean that's what you get.

Update: 12/22/24: Thanks to Mia and James for your outstanding service and patience. It was my b'day and I was stuck at Maggie's for over an hour and placed my order and started panicking when I noticed the time, closing in on closing time, but I got there just in time to be welcomed by Mia's smiling face with a little surprise I wasn't expecting! I really needed a good experience since Maggie's was a nightmare. Thanks for going above and beyond for me when no one else cared or remembered it was my b'day. The most authentic Detroit "style" Pizza outside of the Metro Detroit area. The best crust on a pizza I've ever eaten, and I've had some of the best pizza in the country(It's addictive!). I've ordered here about 4 or 5 times and the quality has been pretty consistent. I always order the Double Roni, and tonight's pizza was the best for 2 reasons: 1) It was more well-done than usual, but not overcooked. 2) The sauce was put on the side, so the pizza wouldn't get soggy on the way home (20 mins). Thanks Will H. for making a damn good pizza, and thanks to Kevin C. for the superior...

Super cute place in person but the service is nonexistent. Per my receipt I ordered my food at 1:43 pm, at 2:35 I inquired about my order. I saw people going up and getting their food, so I assumed they were just running behind. At 2:35 I finally went up to the window, and with my luck, after about one minute, an employee finally walked by, and that is how I got "service"--by accident. They simply don't care and it shows so much. Maybe take out is okay. I didn't even get to try the pizza because mine was cold. There wasn't even anyone at the window to talk to about it either. This place should be delivery only, and apparently they can't get the delivery right either. Don't waste your money. I just lost $30, over 30 minutes of my time, and I only got a CAN of grape soda to show for it. Just save your time...
