While the drinks and service are 5 stars, none of my friends want to hang here because there isn't a lot of room for large groups to hang out in bad weather (just a small indoor bar counter). There are no tables indoors so if the weather isn't great, you're better off hanging out next door which definitely is more conducive to a fun atmosphere. Every time I've gone next door because that's where my friends want to hang, I end up walking here for a drink. It's too bad these 2 places couldn't be combined because it would be the best spot in central NJ. I prefer going to breweries, wineries, and cideries in upstate NY because the breweries there always have other options than beer and they most of them are restaurants, too. NJ really needs to change their licensing so places like this could do more to...

I see what they're going for and it's great but the execution is like 🤔 . The staff should be trained before they're scheduled for a weekend shift... let's start there. The bartenders are so young and so green that they appear to freeze under pressure. When you're paying over $15 per drink and waiting over 30 minutes to get acknowledged that's not really cutting it. We got seats at the bar maybe 20 minutes before we decided to flag down the bartender. Ended up not even getting what we ordered and tried to start a tab but we were charged right away because the bartender accidentally closed it. It was his second day, but is that the smartest scheduling to put him on shift on a Saturday in the fall? Awesome distillery in Colts Neck, some parking around the building, but beware, between this place and source be expected to crawl for parking. Inside is very unique with a large circular bar. Mixologists are friendly and very talented, be sure to ask for some recommendations if you are not sure what to get. There are a large selection of mixed cocktails to choose from and even flights! I am a sucker for the Pickle Rick, it is my go-to cocktail every time I am here. If it's nice outside be sure to check out the outdoor seating area.
