Would give 0 stars if I could! Terrible place. Save your money and drive a few minutes down 34 and go to Prima - they have great food and the kindest owner and good service. Very much unlike this restaurant.
Had a super disappointing and disheartening experience at this establishment. My family experienced some of the worst hospitality we have ever seen in our lives from staff at Via Sposito...
The group stopped in, casually on a Saturday night - the first thing that my dad asked the staff was whether it was okay to dine there given the way they were dressed - which was nothing fancy, but casual and acceptable. But I guess the staff was bothered by that.. not that they communicated so. The staff could have answered, "no, your attire is not appropriate/ doesn't follow our dress code." We would have left. Truly don't know what the issue was.
Service was super rushed. It felt like they didn't want to serve us. The second the appetizer came out she asked us to order dinner. We asked for 5 minutes and she refused us... saying that she had to put the order in at that moment because "dishes may take 45 minutes to cook" and that we "may not get our food"... lol it was laughable...
When we asked for water, the waitress said that they didn't have any glasses for the water. What do you mean you don't have any glasses for water? It felt like she was playing a joke or blatantly trying to upset us.
Icing on the cake, the waitress served my dad an expired beer. She claimed it was their last can & they don't even carry it anymore. When he confronted her about the date on the can, she was rude, and did not really seem to care about serving expired alcohol. Photo attached with the beer’s born date clearly shown (07/29/24), because now the restaurant is claiming the beer wasn’t expired in their response. FYI… we work in the industry too, lol. The manager also brushed us off. So upsetting.
I don't ever aim to bash businesses, especially local ones, but it is disappointing to find out that going to restaurants marketed as luxe and upscale doesn't mean you are going to be treated in such a way, at all. In fact, the opposite.
Definitely won't be returning to this place... I wish them the best and truly hope they re-evaluate the way they treat...
Read moreOverall the food was really good. I had a margherita Pizza which was really good, and probably in my top 5 NJ pizzas, (I'm also from southern Jersey for some context). my wife had a traditional which was also good, but I thought the sauce and cheese(which is homemade apparently) tasted better on mine. My one son got the chicken parm, which was delicious, and my other son got the La Zozzona pasta, which I would say was the biggest disappointment of our visit. Anyone not familiar with it, it is essentially like a hybrid of the roman pastas, amatriciana and carbonara. For a $30 plate of pasta, which IMO is insane, you would expect atleast a decent portion size, and for the dish to not skimp on the pecorino romano and guanciale. it was difficult to even find the guanciale in the dish, either because it was scarce, or the pieces we did find were cut very tiny and thin. It tasted good, but but was just alot more tomato, than egg/cheese, and wasnt as creamy and rich as expected. If it was given to me blind, I would have just assumed it was pasta with a red sauce and nothing special, which is why the $30 price tag hurt even more. To be honest, all of their pasta dishes are $$$$, just Penne with a vodka sauce is $28, which is the cheapest. I could understand if the portion were larger, and if they had a lot more meat/seafood. I was just at a high end italian place in philly the week before, and their most expensive pasta dish with Calamari in it was $28. I dont write this review to bash the place, but to simply give and honest opinion. I know its a tough business, but The food overall was great, we were just disappointed at the juxtaposition of the price of the pasta dish and what we ended up getting. Especially after seeing a dish like Zozzona, where you dont see most places, and most people never heard of it, we...

From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is warm and inviting, with modern décor
We began our culinary journey with the Beef Tartare and Mozzarella in Casesetta, The beef tartare was perfectly seasoned, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that left us speechless. The Mozzarella in Casesetta was simply divine—fresh, creamy mozzarella encased in a delicate wrap, bursting with flavor.
For the main course, we indulged in the Pasta with Salsa Alla Vodka. The pasta was al dente, coated in a luscious vodka sauce that was rich, creamy, and had just the right hint of tomato and spice. Noci e Melanzana was great as well, the combination of eggplant and walnuts created a dish that was both hearty and rich in flavor.
We couldn’t resist the Zappolles for dessert, and they did not disappoint. These warm, fluffy doughnuts were dusted with sugar and served with dipping sauce and strawberries offering a sweet, indulgent finish to our meal.
The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff made us feel like valued guests, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect.
Will certainly be...
