Also known as Consciousness Corner. Roots - only place I can get vegan buns for my vegan sausages. Great Sage - only place nearby where I can look through the whole menu before deciding against most of it. Bark - as my cat has a special needs diet, I'm not there often. Nest - really pretty, but not my thing (most of the time). Red's - best liquor store in the area... and I mean drop a compass on a map and make a circle with a 20 mile radius and I haven't found better. After seeing a movie, my two girlfriends went to Sage Restaurant, adjacent to Roots in the Clarksville Square, in Clarksville, Maryland. The restaurant was closed on Monday.

Seeing tables and chairs near the Roots Health Food Store, we decided to have a picnic. We went in the store and bought hand-made hot split pea and tomato soups, chips and crackers, artichoke cheese and chocolate-chip cookies for dessert.

We enjoyed watching the little chickadees search for tidbits by the tables, and we left a few crumbs...
