Although some staff are definitely more pretentious than the rest of common kitchen overall their staff is consistent and good. However there's this guy there that talks really fast and comes across as pretty dismissive, doesn't make eye contact, and tries to finish your sentence while you're thinking of your order. There's no conversation or flexibility with this guy as you think about adding things to your order. You are rushed in a pretty aggressive way even though there is no line. If I am looking at the menu and trying to decide, why not just let me be or take my order but allow me to talk. It was rude and frustrating how dismissive, flippant, and aloof he was all at the same time. Trifecto Bar also don't let you tap your credit card. I pushed back because I rarely use my chip nowadays and I can see it allowed for me to tap. The rude cashier guy talked really fast and said they don't do that and insisted on taking my card just to put it in the machine that is normally turned around by all the other vendors at Common Kitchen for people to tap. When I told him after seeing the machine was like the others at Common Kitchen and that I could tap it he said "yeah it supports tap but most customers don't know how to use tap" At this stage it would be easy for me to say something really negative after this ridiculous comment. Also I was thinking to myself is he suggesting I don't know how to use tap my card? The tap feature is basically a standard payment method that every vendor is using nowadays, especially at Common Kitchen? When I said other vendors use the tap feature he said extremely fast "yeah, i mean you can do whatever you want" with a really dismissive tone basically just tired I'm bothering to order. Obviously I can't do whatever I want if they insist on taking my card and inserting it. This isn't even a big deal. It was just a comment on an observation I was surprised about and he turned into this whole thing. Mind you during this entire exchange, including taking my order, he didn't look at me once. It was odd. To top things off they got part of my order wrong. I was the only order but he's still checked the receipt because the customer is always wrong, I guess, and it turned out what I was saying was accurate so he apologized while looking at the floor and then the wall. I can't convey in full just how weird, pretentious, dismissive, and condescending this guy actually was. Someone needs to mentor him on personal skills and explain how it translates to reoccurring purchases. The only reason I gave 1 star for service was because I didn't want people reading my review to think if I put 0 stars for service it was because I forgot to rate service. So just be prepared for a zero star service if you get the guy I got. Otherwise service is generally between 2...
Read moreI had super high hopes for this place. I’ve been following their journey with excitement. I’m hoping it gets better. Granted it was opening day and theres quirks that need to get fixed Coffee was okay. I got an iced coffee with oat milk. Which is the only vegan milk option 2.my husband got a vanilla hot latte. He said it wasn’t bad I got my toddler a smoothie and he loved it. The seem to only offer one size. I didn’t mind the small size for a kids smoothie but maybe different sizes for coffee for the future. Again, unsure if this was just for opening day- When I arrived I sat at the bar thinking this is how you order for five minutes. I interrupted the barista convo because I didn’t know how the ordering process worked. I would just think if you see a mom and two year old you’d be a tad more attentive. Last, thing and it’s very petty but I know i was one of the first 100 customers and I didn’t get a bag of coffee. I saw people order after me and they received a coffee. Which I guess is whatever because I wasn’t a huge fan of the coffee. However, I’d like to try a vanilla latte next time
When the place is finished I bet it will be a great addition for the hoco community. My comments are not meant to hurt this business. I am strictly just saying what my first experience is. I will be going back when it’s completed. Note- they’re still awaiting their...
Read moreNathan waited on me and from the moment he greeted me it seemed like I was inconveniencing him. I asked for my sugar to be mixed in to my latte, and he suggested that I could do it myself. He then realized that I wanted him to do it, and inwardly rolled his eyes with a very visible sigh. Another barista asked if I were being helped and took my credit card for payment. Nathan than turned to me to hand me my drink. He rudely grabbed the credit card reader to check to see if I paid then stared at me as though he were trying to dismiss me. It is the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received. Shame on you Nathan for your selfish haphazardly service. You did not deserve the automatic tip that I left you. This barista acted as though he was doing me a favor by taking my order. This barista's priorities are messed up. Also the latte he served me tasted like he forgot to add the espresso shots in it. It tasted like water down coffee milk. Overall...
