ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THEY FORGED MY SIGNATURE, LIED TO ME, DISMISSED MY CONCERNS, AND THREATENED ME WITH CREDIT DAMAGE. IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STAR I DEFINITELY WOULD!!! I purchased a vehicle from Antwerpen and was given a contract that outlined a monthly payment of $X and a specific interest rate. Everything was signed electronically, and I was provided a copy of the contract on a USB drive.
Several weeks later, I received a letter from the bank stating that my monthly payment would be $XXâa higher amount than what I had agreed toâand that the interest rate had also changed.
I immediately returned to the dealership and spoke with Shuvo, the finance manager who originally handled my deal (he has since left the company). He insisted that I had signed for $XX, but when I mentioned I would verify the contract saved on the USB, he didnât appear concerned. Therefore, I gave him the benefit of the doubt because they (him and the salesman) had previously âhelpedâ me get out of a bad deal from their Owings Mills location, which had sold me a defective vehicle (the car had engine problems and completely stopped on the road when I was driving) and has since closed. I had specifically requested that the terms of the previous deal carry overâbut clearly, that did not happen.
Feeling uneasy the day before my payment deadline, I finally opened the PDF file from the USBâand I was right. The contract I signed stated $X, not $XX.
I contacted the dealership again and spoke with their new finance manager, Logan, who acknowledged there was a discrepancy but repeatedly called me âsweetieâ and dismissed my concerns. She insisted that the dealershipâs version of the contract reflected $XX and showed no interest in reviewing the copy they had provided me. When I explained that the USB file shows different terms, she brushed it off and informed me that returning the vehicle based on âmy versionâ would be treated as a repossession and negatively impact my credit.
I then escalated the issue to Antonio, a sales manager, who told me the terms of my bank approval were XX% interest and $XX/monthânot what I had signed. When I explained that I had the original contract file, he admitted that âmistakes happenâ and this was just one of them.
The most alarming part came when I asked how the dealership submitted a different contract with my signature. Antonio admitted that Shuvo had copied and transferred my electronic signature onto a new version of the contract and submitted it to the bankâWITHOUT MY CONSENT. In other words, they FORGED MY SIGNATURE. THAT IS NOT A âmistake.â THAT IS SIMPLY FRAUD.
I trusted this dealership AGAIN, even after a previous bad experience. I was referred by a family member who used to work there and genuinely believed they would do right by me. Instead, Antwerpen altered my contract, forged my signature, lied to me, dismissed my concerns, and threatened me with credit damage.
This experience has been not only deeply disappointing but also unethical and potentially illegal. I strongly urge others to be cautious and take their...
Read moreWe went to purchase a 2016 Nissan Versa with 3k miles for my mother. Upon arrival, we noticed the car had four 6-8" gashes in the roof where the bare metal could be seen. Our salesperson, Greg Freed said they could be touched up and it wasn't a big deal. I said there is no way touch up paint can repair damage of that nature and that the cars roof would need to be repainted. He said no problem, we have a white Versa Note in stock which is about the same price. Do you want to take a look? I should have run away then, but given that we had taken a $60 Uber to pick up the car and lived 90 mins away we decided to at least consider it. Here is the kicker, once we sit down he comes back with a price of $17,500 for the car with 2k miles. For reference, the blue Versa we came to purchase was $11,950 on the road and I can buy a brand new untitled 2016 for $12,750. He then mentioned I hate playing these games but my manager wants me to present you with this. Included in the price quote were various dealer "bloat" fees, certification and MD inspection charges, nitrogen tire charge etc for a car with only 2k miles. This made me livid, not only were we lied to about the condition of the car we were going to purchase, not only were we not told the car was a former loaner car, we are now being quoted $5.6k more for effectively the same car in a color we dont want. I asked to see the GM Scott Steinberg, I inform him of my displeasure with the condition of the car and how we were being treated. He said "its a used car", damage like this is to be expected even if it only has 3k miles. He then said the price is the price take it or leave it. To which I said, what you are doing is "f___d up you lied to us." He then told me we had to leave if we weren't buying a car, as we are leaving he tells me to go home and "fxxx my mother" in my mothers presence. What words can I use to illustrate how deplorable this is. Let me save you the hassle, avoid this dealership, know that the prices they quote do not include thousands of dollars in bogus fees. Know that they will try and bait and switch you, know that the GM is an indecent human being. Please stay far away from them if you care about your time, money and dignity. I have bought over 20 cars in the last decade and never have I had an experience of this nature. If Scott Steinberg has any decency at all he would issue a hand written apology to my mother and I and reimburse us the $120 in Uber fares we spent visiting this dealership. I have also notified Nissan NA of this...

On 3/30, I went online and scheduled an appointment to take my car to the Nissan dealership. I stated âMy car has a problem shaking when turning corners or at low speedsâ. The appointment was scheduled for the next day. I took my car in and the advisor indicated that it would cost $175 for a diagnostic but if I got the repairs done there, the $175 would be applied toward the repairs. I was also informed that they would take the car for a test drive so the mechanic could experience what was happening. After waiting at the dealership for hours, I was advised that it was the right wheel bearing and that during the multi-point inspection, other repairs were needed including a transmission flush. I agreed to get everything they recommended done so that my car runs properly. $2,328.54 later, I was told my car was ready. I got in the car and drove it to the corner and noticed the car was still shaking at low speeds and when turning corners. I immediately turned around and took the car back to the dealership. I am now being told that I need a new transmission, new tires, the front lower control arms are worn/tearing, and the Vias control solenoid value 1. The transmission alone cost $5,600. I was furious and asked if a diagnostic and test drive were done, why wasnât any of those repairs picked up? I would have never paid for those other repairs had I known. It was also obvious that he did not test drive the car after the repairs to ensure the problem was fixed. They admitted that they did not perform the diagnostic or test drive the car before performing the repairs because when the mechanic got in the car to drive it into the bay, he noticed the shaking and assumed it was the wheel bearing since they had a lot of play. As expensive as car repairs are, it is unacceptable for ANY mechanic to guess what is wrong. I requested that they deduct the $2,328.54 from the $5,600 repair cost for the transmission. I was told the best they could do was reducing the cost to $4,500 with a rebuilt transmission putting me out of $6,828.54. Had I known, I could have used that $6,828.54 as a down payment for a new car. Totally unacceptable and disappointing that Nissan Corporation has done nothing to step in and assist in resolving the issue given that their name is on the line. I guess they don't care about those of us who saw Nissan once as trustworthy . Buyers,...
