Not bad, but some odd food and flavorings. The place is very small inside. The menu is decent. I got the chicken mole enchilada because I have loved mole dishes elsewhere. It was ok, but nothing special or different than what I would cook at home. The salsa was wonderful. My husband got some pork dish which was ok, but not something he or I would get a second time. The chile relleno was not stuffed, rather a small, very small, pepper split open, topped with a massive amount of cheese to make up for how small the pepper was, and a small bit of sauce. Way too much cheese and barely could tell the pepper was there. My daughter got a small children's quesadilla, can't go wrong there. But we ordered her a simple beef taco with only cheese on it. The beef was the oddest thing about our meal. It tasted like sloppy joe mixture. It was very odd flavor on a taco shell and topped with cheese. It wasn't an awful meal. We however, would not choose to go back. That bathrooms are located right in the hallway the servers are busing and getting drinks and such. On the way to the kitchen. It is such a busy hallway and I had to walk around a stack of extra chairs with a bin full of dirty dishes to get to the ladies room. It was weird. The ladies room is very small and cramped. When we got our bill they charged us extra because we ordered juice instead of soda with the kids meal, full price for a small little juice $2.50?! And then we also were charged an extra $2 for a refill on chips? I've never been to a place that charges you to refill chips. Very very odd. We also were charged $2.50 for a tiny tiny dish of guacamole because my 3 year old wanted something to dip her quesadilla in. The container was so small I have NO idea why we were even charged for it! To me, this is just nickel and diming your guests. To give others who read these an idea - at other Mexican restaurants we leave tax and tip for $45 or less. Our bill tonight was $65! And we didn't get anything abnormal than what we would have ordered elsewhere. Again, we will...
Read moreI just left this location and it's safe to say I'm never going back! The customer service was non-existent to anyone that wasn't their regulars. We had to ask repeatedly for everything, refills, napkins, water, everything. Actually, when we first came in, we weren't even barely greeted and we seated for a wow before anyone even came over to ask us what we wanted to drink. Then when I asked what they had to drink, she looked at me like I was crazy and then I had to ask her if they carried Coke products and that's when she began to list them. I tried to order a drink Spanish fluently, so I said to her the type of drink that I wanted, and she looked at me like I was crazy once again. The food was OK. Nothing really special about it honestly. It was very pretty inside, but that's about it. Towards the end we were waiting to pay. She never asked us if we wanted any boxes however, I watched her make small talk with everyone else around us every time I did ask her for something or had to re-ask her for something that she was supposed to have brought, it was like it was a problem and then I watched her look at me speak to someone else laugh and then he looks at me subtly as to not make it obvious that they were talking trash. That's when I guess the manager came over and I let him know how satisfied we were. Don't waste your time. There are truly better places that don't mind...
Read moreMy favorite Mexican restaurant. I've never had a bad meal there. My recent lunch with two friends was excellent! We were offered a basket of warm totilla chips and individual salsa cups. One friend and I ordered the Enchilada Verde which is filled generously with the most tender and delicious pork chuncks and accented with the green chili sauce and cheese. My other friend ordered the chicken and vegetable plate with the sweet habenaro sauce on the side. We all agreed it was a satisfying and delicious lunch. The staff is always helpful and service is prompt and courteous too. El Azteca has a bar section too. Outdoor dining will be available when a warm Spring finally shows up! Highly Recommended! Visited a couple of days ago, still delicious!
Update: Sometimes service is slow because they can't hire enough staff. Also, in the past, you could get a refill of the complementary chips and salsa. No second round of free chips...
