If I could give a -5 star I would, so as you're reading the bad reviews keep in mind that the 5 stars are from the company trying to stop the truth from getting out. Ask yourself, do you really want to trust your business to a company that manipulates the number, gives false reviews, and puts out lies and false information? We brought in a ring for this company to repair, when they damaged the ring the young male guy used profanity against a grieving mother. I can assure you he wouldn't use that tone or language had I been there, but who does that? Again, is this the kind of company you want to trust your families jewelry to, or trust with your family? So as you read the numerous 1 star reviews remember that according to Tennessee state law, this type of company falls under the "bailment" law and so their lucky in this aspect that court wasn't the outcome. Please do not, under any circumstances, take anything of value to this poor, unprofessional, low class, disgraceful, disrespectful bunch of so called untrained jewelers. To Dixon, let me say this, do the right thing, we're praying against you and God isn't one to be mocked by your verbal attack and conniving ways. As you have treated others it shall be done to do, in Jesus name. So don't believe the 5 stars you read here, these are the companies friends and family members trying to prevent the truth from coming out on how bad they are to unwitting customers. DON'T GO HERE, numerous other companies that will take care of you, and treat you with respect. How would you respond to someone insulting your wife, daughter, mother..... close the doors is my thoughts. Quit your day job because your company is horrible. So are the excuses...
Read moreDo not take your business here! Took my sterling silver (that part is important) ring to be resized. After inspecting my ring, they declared it sterling silver and said it was going to be torched in order to size it. They were wanting to charge me $184 to size it. After leaving the store in shock, I looked at the pricing slip she gave me. They were charging me the price of a 14K white gold ring (even though it’s sterling silver). AND charging me soldering prices (way more expensive) instead of torch prices. When I called to ask about this, I was told the jeweler wasn’t in, but that “silver” is hard and tricky and they HAD to put it as 14K white gold (why? I simply don’t know. because it’s NOT 14k white gold). I was told to call back the next day to speak to the jeweler. I called back the next day, the jeweler supposedly wasn’t in again so I was told to call back the next day…..again. I then went to pick up my ring because I was over it at this point. I asked the lady what’s going on with the price, she gave me a whole different excuse. First it was the silver being “hard and tricky” and then today she stated the diamonds are CZ which will melt under the torch so the jeweler would have to take the diamonds out and put them back in which is why they were charging me almost $200. CZ diamonds will only melt under EXTREME temperatures (over 5000 degrees Fahrenheit). The melting point for sterling silver is approximately 1,640°F. Not only did they intentionally try to charge me more than DOUBLE, they also lied to my face multiple times when I asked about the price. Do not take your jewelry to this place. And if you do, PLEASE look at what they’re trying...
Read more"I recently had a nightmare experience with Dixon Jewelry in Columbia. They damaged a ring that held immense sentimental value to me - a sapphire ring with is my son's birthstone, who passed away in 2018. This ring had laid on my deceased baby's chest, making it a treasured keepsake. When I brought it to them for repair, I stressed the utmost care required, but they utterly disregarded my request. Despite knowing the ring's significance and the story behind it, having been informed of my son's passing, they continued to treat us with attitude and disrespect. What's even more shocking is that they subjected the ring to extreme heat, damaging the stone beyond their claim of "fixable." When confronted about the damage, the jeweler became belligerent, cussing at us and flipping us off. The store manager showed no concern for the damage or the ring's sentimental value, offering a paltry $100 towards repair costs, despite the ring's $1700 value. They initially suggested they might try to fix it, but made it clear the damage was likely irreparable - a direct result of their negligence. Their handling of the situation was appalling, and I was met with rudeness and nonchalance. In stark contrast, I took the ring to Tillis Jewelry, who treated me with kindness, respect, and professionalism. They fixed the ring for free, resetting the sapphire into the original band. I highly recommend taking your business to Tillis Jewelry, where you'll receive the care and expertise you deserve. Avoid Dixon Jewelry...
