Bargain Hunt — Local services in Columbia

Bargain might be in the name, but the prices are not that great at all. Yes I'm taking inflation into consideration. Quality of items could be much better. Store could be neater and has an overall dusty vibe - yes I realize people go through things, but some straightening up could be done. Just took my 4 year old son there to pick him out a few "cheaper" toys which weren't so cheap at all for doing well in school this week. Took him to Ollie's last time and it went way better with both selection and price wise. Just want to throw this out there as well that the store manager called me before Christmas with a very promising sounding managerial job offer. The interview went well (I've had some interviews not go well so I'm aware whether or not I did well) and he kept me there for over an hour. It's not that he decided to hire someone else but they didn't even bother to pick up the phone and give me a call back or a message on Indeed. Heck I should be compensated for my time, tour, in depth questions and lessons about how the store works. Seems like a nice guy, but who just doesn't inform you that you didn't get the job as a courtesy these days? Have gotten some decent clothes there is why I'm giving it...

I was very excited to learn that there was a Bargain Hunt opened up in Columbia Tn. I have been going to the one in Murfreesboro and enjoy it very much! I went last night and after getting to the checkout I realized I lost my pay card, the manager was very understanding and said they would hold my purchase until the next day because they where about to close. I found my card and returned the next day and the day manager F Thomas reentered my purchase which was different on one of the items, when I tried to explain what the night manager looked up he sharply cut me off and rudely said he was a manager and the code he typed in was what it was! I pointed out he didn't have to come across so rudely, he then said he didn't believe he was, but he was! I'll never be back in that store over $3.00. He needs to check his social skills or he will ruined...

The staff at this location is top-notch! They are always kind and seem to enjoy what they do. When I've needed to make returns, they have always been super helpful. This store is always well-stocked and offers great prices. A lot of their drinks and food items beat competitor prices by a long shot. If you are on the hunt for a bargain on cleaning products, clothes/shoes, or food (snack-type) items, this is a great option. Ollie's is just around the corner, and I still prefer to shop at Bargain Hunt for a couple of reasons. There are some predictable items they continuously keep in stock. However, I like how some of the inventory changes each time, so it's always a slightly different experience each time I go there. With the great prices and variety of inventory, I visit this location at least one a month if not more frequently. Great...
