First timers here!! My experience went a little like this...
My husband & I walked in & it was pretty quiet. There was no one in line but took like 5 minutes before anyone saw us. But it was totally fine because they were busy rolling silverware :-) I could see them in the reflection. Lots to do behind the scenes that the impatient customers forget exists :-)
But then the waitress saw us & helped us right away. She was super sweet!! Her name is Breann. If y'all go here to eat, ask to sit in her section. She'll take good care of you! She's so nice & when she's serving you, you can tell she cares. If you're the type of customer that thinks, "the customer is always right," just don't go out to eat.. anywhere! Society has spoiled y'all with that mentality & some of you have turned into spoiled brats.. You make a waitresses job hard when you act like that.
Anyways, I ordered the Old Fashioned to drink. I don't know if it was made correctly but it was nice and stiff so I didn't say anything 😁
My husband got the raspberry lemonade which was delicious
I ordered the Shrimp Scampie. It was good. It came out a little cold (but delicious) and Breann had about 10 groups come in so I wasn't gonna stop her from running around, trying to do her job :-) She wasn't neglecting us by any means.. she was busy getting to ALL of us in her section! She's busts her a$$.. but she made it right with me and I'm grateful for that 😌
My husband said "I thought it was really good. The shrimp was cooked very well and had good flavor and the sauce was tasty"
We also had the salad bar which was really good. It's just missing a really important item.. cottage cheese.. my husband also said, "it was lacking cottage cheese but had a lot of good things" 😋
We ordered the sample platter (I don't remember what it's called).. it has the chicken, loaded potato skins, mozzarella. I didn't eat any of that. We ordered more than enough food because 1. I ate a gummy before I went in and 2. We just moved to TN so we wanted to make sure we had left overs since we still have our pots and pans in boxes 😀
My husband said, "it's just your basic sampler platter.. mozzarella sticks are mozzarella sticks & chicken is just chicken. The potatoes were good but probably a little more crispy"..
My husband had the catfish and shrimp platter. It was ok. It was good but maybe just over priced.
My husband said, "it wasn't gross but it was definitely a cheaper quality fish"
There was this sweet older lady who has to work at her age because our country sucks right now. That's not what life is supposed to be about.. make sure to throw her a couple bucks on your way out too (without taking away from Breanns tip) because if you can afford to go out and eat, you can afford to have enough love for people to help each other out! You get what you give.. remember that
Anyways, her and I chatted for a bit and she's just the sweetest
The manager seemed a little stressed. He could probably tone it down a bit. He wasn't rude.. but stressed, which in turn, stresses the whole staff out.. and when something goes wrong and you put too much energy into it, things will keep going wrong. There's a lot of good books on leadership that has helped me tremendously. The book Extreme Ownership is a good start.. trust me, you'll feel a lot more relaxed 😌
We'll be coming back
Remember Bre, Don't let customers walk on you Don't let a customer ruin your day. They probably find something to complain about in every situation And don't forget to pick up someone's meal once a week, minimum (even if its the smallest bill in the restaurant) because remember, you get what you give! 10 fold!
Oh and P.S.. 🗣📣 REMEMBER CUSTOMERS, SERVERS GET PAID $2.13 AN HOUR AND THEY RELY ON TIPS. Make their day better and give them a tip.. 20% MINIMUM.. anything less than that is ridiculous.
My mother in law tips $2 no matter how big her bill is and its gross
Oh and get out of the servers way when you're going anywhere in that restaurant. They are trying to do their job

Read moreThis was terrible from start to finish. Had to wait at the door for a while for a table for two, even though there was hardly anybody in there. The salad bar backsplash was dirty, and I ended up spitting more food in my napkin (which I had never done before in a restaurant) than I was eating. Some of the salad tasted like cleaner and the other was just rotten and mushy. I finally shoved the salad to the side because I was grossed out and couldn’t eat it anymore. The waitress had her pen break, which caused her not to be able to remember our two drinks which were a coke zero and a sweet tea (not too difficult). We finally got our drinks at the same time as the burger and the fries. The burger didn’t have what the menu said it had on it, and was paper thin and burnt. The fries were hot, but greasy and limp. I called the manager over and took him to an area where there were no other people so as not to be overheard. I wasn’t trying to make a scene and being respectful. I told him the whole story and he was unconcerned and making excuses about how hard good help was to find and train.. When my sister told him about the fries, his comment was “well they are fries”. The only good part about it was I did offer to pay for it still, because I wasn’t out to get anything free, but he said since I hadn’t eaten any of it (I spit out most of what I had eaten) not to worry about it. We ended up going to another restaurant close by and had zero issues (good food and good service and it was clean). This has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a food establishment, and we eat out a lot. If you decide to give it a go, I hope your experience is better...
Read moreJessica our server/bartender was wonderful, she did a great job, even though she was obviously overwhelmed with guests. If only she was the one in charge. She was the only one who seemed to know what was going on and what to do. The young ladies who brought our appetizers tried to deliver them to a different table but they came out hot. Our entrees were brought out to the wrong table, when they were placed in front of us the plate was hot but the food was cold, everyone's food was cold, and my burger was way undercooked. After telling our server about the food, she quickly apologized and offered to get the manager. After waiting for 15 minutes the manager finally came by the table wearing an apron so I assumed she was working in the kitchen. When we explained to the manager what was wrong with our food she apologized and that was it, with no offer to correct, fix or do anything else. So we asked for the bill for our beverages and appetizers and against offered no reconciliation. The nanager promptly gave us our check, the manager did not offer to run our card for the bill, she just placed the bill on the table, apologized and walked away. Our server was so busy we had to bring the bill to her to pay, we made sure she was taken care of as she should being in the hospitality industry. Overall, I'm quite disappointed in cleanliness, atmosphere, and management staff. We will not be returning. I'm surprised to find when I look up best restaurants in Columbia on Google, this Ruby Tuesdays shows up on...
