Food Lion — Local services in Columbia

this is one of the worst food lions. I have ever been to. management as well as cashiers Do not care about the customers, and they are rude to pretty much every customer from what i have watched and seen over the years and definitelyhas taken a downward turn just like the area. I'll say that there were probably only a few people. I've actually liked at this store. Not that that matters because the turnover rate for workers here is absolutely crazy. I get one favorite, and then they're gone. the good ones always leave 6 they are better than this place. One sadly didn't work long and no longer works there. It was this white girl with tattoos i heard something happened to her so i hope shes okay. the manager zack needs to get a new job. he has given his soul to that place, and they have eaten him up. he used to be a nice guy, and each year he gets sadder. i pray for you. but I will say that the lighter guy that works in the back in the meat department. Is the only one that actually has that part of the store looking okay and deserves a raise. or better than this dead end place. much better that the darker dude that dyes his hair. he is super rude and have seen him doing just about everything other than his job, like running around with that one upfront girl with an attitude problem. frieda is the only upfront person who does great and handles what needs to be handled. I would pay for her to retire if I could. I have since taken my business elsewhere. it breaks my soul to come into this establishment anymore. I would give. Less than 0...

we visit this food lion location for it's closeness to our home. as some others have said, it is cheaper than the publix just across the road from it. just as any grocery store, they carry some brands others don't and don't carry some brands others do. the bakery items tend to be pretty good, but the deli items always seem to not be very fresh or taste good. we visit on different days and different times, but they ALWAYS seem to be stocking shelves sometimes keeping you from being able to get down an isle. customer service can be excellent one day and just awful on others. they remodeled a few years ago, but it didn't really change much in the way of cleanliness. they could certainly work on ways to make customers feel more appreciated. lastly i have found a used hypodermic needle in the parking lot and it tends to be pretty...

This is my regular store I come in here often. The turn over rate is astronomical every day there are new people. There is a guy here too with colorful dreads that seems to be in charge of the back area or near area he’s always restocking the freezer area but he’s an absolute jerk that appears to forget he works at a damn grocery store and has no idea what is actually in the store. If you ask him for help he just dismisses you without even answering. Then you have this really talk manager who is always there during the day she has such an attitude and often closes customer service at her behest and then gets all pissy when you point out that it’s 2 pm no reason for it to be closed. Then a weird guy in the deli who closes the deli early and refuses...
