I wasted a month by contacting two different attorneys. Each had "advertised" a legal specialty, but both seemed clueless. Each time, it took approximately two weeks of waiting for return phone calls and an answer as to the process. Fortunately, I found the South Carolina Bar's referral service. It was a quick and easy process to answer questions geared to guide me to the right lawyer for my specific needs. Read moreWas unable to get any real legal help in that state. They all coward behind each other, they care about who knows who. No standing for anything that has true meaning. No help with mental health/disability discrimination, civil rights on any level, violence against women, incompetence in the medical field, police misconduct. The laws are written for a reason, not just to use against poor people or people with disabilities. This state decides when they will enforce laws and they are nasty, lazy and cowardly. Read moreI want to say that Karen was an amazing help to me and my sister's situation on 6/9/2021. I called in a state of confusion about needing a POA notarized. Karen researched what I needed and got called me back with the answers that made my dilemma less stressful. I must say that lawyers, or lawyer offices are a bit intimidating to the average individual, but when you hear a kind helpful voice over the phone it put my nervousness at bay.
