This past week was my first time shopping at this establishment. Iād first heard of this store from a co-worker. Being that I had an event coming up, I thought Iād swing by. Big mistake. When I first walked in I was not greeted, which was fine, just an observation. I found an item that caught my eye and continued to shop. Not even being in the store for five minutes, an associate walks up and acts as if she is cleaning. She then proceeds to ask if she would like me to take my item to the front and asks for my name. I instantly felt odd about that but continued to shop. After her taking my item to the front the associate never returns, werenāt you cleaning? I make my way over to the next aisle and hear the associate asking another customer if they are finding everything alright. Waiting for her to ask for their merchandise, she didnāt. Why was I singled out? A few moments go by, I turn around to look at the clothes behind me and that same associate is just standing there and had been watching me. At that point I felt unwanted. On my way to the front, I found a pair of jeans I thought would look nice with the item the sales associate took to the front. I stood at the front for many minutes being ignored by the manager and few associates, almost walking off before being acknowledged. I let the manager know I no longer wanted the pants but would still like to try on the cardigan. Feeling so uncomfortable, I chose to try on the item outside of the fitting room. After the item didnāt work for me, I took back to the front and left their business. I let my mom know of my experience and how it bothered me. She called to express concern and the managers exact words were āIf she didnāt like her treatment then maybe she should shop elsewhereā she made it as if Iād did something wrong by shopping there. Her attitude was very nasty, unconcering, and unapologetic. And because of this, I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI drove my mother from Albany Georgia to the store in Columbus Georgia yesterday. She purchased several items and when she attempted to leave the store, the sensor went off. The clerk checked her items and said that it must have been a separate store since her and she cleared it. She attempted to exit the store a second time and the sensor went off again. The clerk checked her back again and stated that she was OK to leave and if it went off again the to just ignore it. The sensor went off again The third time so my mother ignored it as she was told and left the store. This was so embarrassing! When my mom checked her back this morning, she noticed that the sensor was still on one of the items she purchased. I contacted the store and provided this information and advise that we would have to drive back to get it removed and if there would be some form of compensation as we would have to travel back from Albany Georgia. I was told that the manager would have to make that decision. I spoke with the manager and he stated to me, āItās a simple sensor and you can take it anywhere to get it removed. We have had people come in the store with sensors on items from different stores and we removed them if we felt they were legit.ā Well, I donāt feel comfortable doing that and feel it was the clerkās responsibility to ensure all sensors are removed. He offered no other resolution. I feel that this was a very unprofessional response to an in-house error. We wonāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE: This had been a 2 star review due to the reasons stated below. I went back Awhile ago and the horrible saleswoman was no longer there, just friendly, helpful staff and way better selection. 5 stars.
Old review: No petite clothes sold here. Nothing especially chic or eye-catching- but good for ho-hum casual office wear for middle mgmt. Good shoe selection and activewear. On selling - I felt condescended to on two separate occasions by one particular employee. She seemed to judge me before even looking at what I brought in - that was the first time Iād ever visited a Clothes Mentor, she did not accept anything. A few weeks later I needed a maxi dress and thought while I was there, Iād try to sell again. She wasnāt working - another buyer bought nearly everything I had, many of the same items she had turned down in seconds. Iād hoped she had left the company but last time I went in she was there again, gossiping and glaring judgement as I tried to shop for boots and sell a small collection of fairly new, now too-big...
