Metro Diner — Restaurant in Columbus

Pretty nice 👍🏾 would recommend, as bout near 4 or 3 and a half.. been a couple instances and had positive vibe, visit 💭😁✍🏾 ok, was fair or nice ( can use vegan or more options, specialty 😏 ) understand kinda tho, it probably wasn't a place specific to vegan or gluten free and sensitive customers bunch.. it's this place that's kinda a few years back feel. Doesn't have the TV's. The radio wasn't blaring, it's not a place where people are too loud 😏 kinda.. yea , the tables are decent, they are not far from other diners yet it's a ok length.. not like you staring in they face and the waitress and serving men and women, the manager that saw or got to see, they were nice, polite, kinds prompt/ attentive yea one waitress that came and helped, 🤔 think her name was Jessica really nice 🙂 she helped and attended to our table, and assisted cause had to find a option that was dairy and wheat free , and vegetarian 😁 it was not particular specified menu or options it seemed, yet we managed to get to a fit .. got the oatmeal 🥣 she said she would get them to make it like appropriate.. she was kind to the next table family too 🙂 their kid seemed to like and have fun communicating with her, if you go there and you see her, say hey .. and hopefully you have , enjoy or if you get sat @ one of her tables its probably a pleasant beginning to the experience and lunch or few dish trys .. the food may feel is why people come, yet the people or experience, the service and atmosphere have it better tasting and not Hardee's or McDonald's .. and if you read this 💪🏾 have a nice day be safe.. and hashtag unpriv we try to make things happen, unpriv studios outreach .. as community we all have different parts and help and benefit roles and influence .. positive actors and cooperation...

Food was great, Atmosphere was great, bathrooms were dirty (toilet paper & paper towels all over the floor), and our waiter wasn't at all attentive. We were seated right away. Drinks were taken immediately following and asked if we were ready to order. At this time we were not because we literally had just sat down and this was our first time here. Waiter didn't come back for over 20 minutes. We ordered basic stuff pancakes, burger & French Dip. The food took quite a while to get to us, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Normally everytime I want to go and try it the parking lot is overly crowded, all the tables are full and a line out the door waiting for a spot. I think there was maybe 4 tables taken earlier when we were there. We were not checked on at all while we were waiting for our food, granted it would have just been drinks but an update as to why it was taking so long would have been nice. When we got our food they didn't bring syrup after waiting for about 10-15 minutes to flag our waiter down he said he would bring it right back. 10 minutes later he came out of the kitchen proceeded to do something up front looked around and saw me wave my hand and he ran to the back to get the syrup. The staff here is beyond amazing!!! I cannot thank them enough for their kindness!! I thought restaurants opened back up..so my husband and our son drove almost 2 hours to eat put together, only to find out that our fav place was dine out only. We drove around Columbus for an hour looking for maybe a picnic table under a piece of shelter, to sit and enjoy our food....finally...we settled on...a ..good enough spot..it wasnt the best...but, we had no other choice.....well, we thought we had no other choice....we happened to drive by Metro Diner....and seen they had an area outside to sit and enjoy their food at.....we already had our food though...we debated on asking if we could possibly..maybe...sit at THEIR tables and eat (at this time its pouring down rain) ...then my husband just suddenly got out of the car..went inside to ask....2 min later, comes back out and says..".come on, let's enjoy our meal together.." I was ...amazed, really. Not many places would allow you to bring food from elsewhere into their business and eat.. Thank yall again for that. It was much appreciated.
