Exodus Escape Games — Local services in Columbus

First and foremost, this place is kid-friendly! We've been taking our son (who is now 8 months old) along for every single room, and the staff is wonderful about us having him there. The game masters are friendly, helpful and not overbearing in the least.

Now, the rooms. What can I not say about the rooms? These are some of the best thought out story lines we've had the pleasure of completing. They're pretty linear, meaning you have an actual plot to follow, versus some rooms where it's a bit of a guess as to whether you're sticking to the clue trail in the least.

And they're so ridiculously creative! I don't know that we've encountered the same "technology" repeated in any of the rooms - so what you get is always going to be unique (which we love!).

The adventures sit in that sweet spot of being difficult enough to make you work for a win, but not so mind-bendingly impossible that you get discouraged and quit.

We have completed almost every room at Exodus, and every time has been incredible. The rooms are designed really well, and it has made us want to come back to try them all. We have completed around 10 escape rooms in the AL/GA area, and Exodus has consistently been our favorite. All of the game masters are so attentive and want to make sure your group is having a good time. Last night we completed Heist, and it did not disappoint. Everyone in our group had fun with it, and there was something for everyone to work out while in the room. Definitely, the most challenging one we have completed but in the best way! Our game master, Bailey, was so good about making sure we knew exactly how to use all the tools we needed before getting into the room, and she knew exactly what clues we needed to get us unstuck a few times. I've done upwards of 15-20 escape rooms, and honestly, this is currently my favorite. They understand what makes escape rooms great. From the seamless and intuitive experience at their Revolution room, to the amazing customer service my group received when we arrived on a whim, to their fundamental understanding of what escape room attendees want and like, everything is accounted for. Josh was amazing during our last visit and set up a room for us on a day the shop was meant to be closed. Just that act of kindness was amazing, but the Revolution room proceeded to blow our minds with how smooth is runs, how intuitive the puzzles were, and how well themed the room is, Josh understands that the most important aspect to an escape room isn't gimmicks, but good puzzles and a couple well-timed moments of surprise and awe when you solve them.
