Giving one star mainly for the poor customer service. You would think ordering online would be simple, but southerners always have a way of making it so difficult. The sad part is, most of the people down here think it’s normal to provide/receive extremely poor customer service.
Ordered car-side online: the family pint pack with 2 sugar cones. Almost immediately I received a call from a male employee stating that the flavors I had chosen were unavailable, so I told him to cancel that part of the order. He hung up without saying another word.
2 minutes later I received a call from a female employee telling me that it’s impossible for them to cancel my order. She alleged they didn’t have the capabilities, which I don’t believe, and told me I had to pick two different flavors or basically lose the money. So I picked two different ones.
Pulled up to the restaurant to find no curbside pickup spots. I then called and asked a separate female employee if she could bring the order to my car so I didn’t have to take my small children out in the rain. She told me there was no possible way for her to do that because they don’t have curbside service. So I take it every one inside didn’t wear shoes to work today because I see no other reason why ONE person couldn’t bring my order out after already causing so many issues with it.
In the end, I had to carry both my toddlers inside and juggle my ice cream order back to my car in the rain. They got the order correct but didn’t include the sugar cones for my kids. But I’m not even calling for a refund because apparently that’s “impossible.” So overall, not a positive experience.
Coldstone, I highly recommend you send someone down here to retrain your employees. I have only had positive experiences in your stores up north, and what happened here today would have never...
Read more3 stars because the ice cream itself tastes amazing, however the staff I had the unfortunate interactions with were hostile.
I came here with my family a few nights to get a sweet treat to end the night after an outing. The shop was closing within the next 30 minutes, so before heading in we decided what we'd like to order so that we wouldn't take up too much time.
Once we entered, the staff were rolling their eyes, sucking their teeth and making rude comments like "Why [do] they gotta come here when they know we [are] closin?", "It ain't like I'm tryin to go home or nothin", and "We [are] tryin to leave, they need to go and get out".
Mind you, there was a poorly handwritten and barely visible sign outside of the door saying "Store closing at 8:30 PM" or something, however, the posted closing hours for that day were 10:00 PM.
They took our orders and kept asking "[Is] that all?". We ordered the LIKE IT size, and they gave us the SMALLEST scoops I've ever seen being served at this location. It was barely enough to fill HALF of the small paper cup. They made us feel uncomfortable, and my small child asked why the staff were laughing at us. I had no answer for him.
We were planning to leave a $10 tip for EACH of the staff because we felt that we were inconveniencing them, however we left no tip at all. I will come here again, as there's no other Coldstone in the area, but I hope that the staff are in a better mood. Truly...
Read moreThis place deserves a negative rating if one could be given. I decided to try at the recommendation of a friend. I already thought it was a red flag when the restaurant next door has a sign for cold stone employees, giving them permission to use their restroom. A workplace with no restroom for its employees can’t be a happy place right? Family and I went to get ice cream an hour before closing. The hours on the store said 10 pm and the hours on google said 10 pm. The door was locked when we tried to enter. And instead of the workers informed us that they were “closed” a young- what appeared to be a teen-boy came to door rudely yelling at us that they were closed. There was what looked to be 1 or 2 workers in the store who stayed behind the counter and 3 other individuals that did not work there. I protested the “closing hours” while this boy continues to rudely yell that they were closed. Honestly, I wouldn’t have ate there even if they had opened the doors. It was just the treatment that upset me. I’ve been to places where the employees play hooky about closing but at least they act nice and give you a neat lie while they do so. Then there was the fact that we were being yelled at by this random child…. I’ll never go to this place again. And can only imagine the service that people receive here daily and how the ice cream is...
