ALDI — Local services in Columbus

I WAS A PREVIOUS EMPLOYEE. Let me try and keep this short and sweet. Life has landed me in a motel and my partner and I have been trying to get back on our feet. All we needed was an offer letter to get into an apartment and I could finally put a real roof over me and my family's heads. I was given the run around; first it was "this evening", then it was "later tomorrow" and finally when I found out it could be a week from now? the longer I wait the more I loose and eventually I wouldn't have the funds.

I eventually began to beg for not an offer letter anymore but a single BLANK paper with a signature from anyone stating that I am an employee. I was given nothing in return. Finally I confronted the right personnel they told me to take my uniform off and leave. I had already worked hours and without an offer letter I wasn't sure I'd ever get paid.

I begged everyone or anyone for something solid. I have never before been so disgusted by people. To those of you that kept me and my family in a motel for no reason other than what I consider total incompetence, I hope you know I'm pressing legal charges.

Anything my kids aren't brand specific about eating I can find here for half off of even the on post grocery store. The brand specific stuff is also cheaper than anywhere else, usually by at least 2$ for the same size items. I'm in love with Aldi's store brand. For most things it tastes better than the commercial brands you can find in any grocery. The only exception is the one type of chocolate granola bar. All the other types of the granola bar I love. My kids too. If they only had Coke zero, I would do 100% of my shopping here.

Edit to add, because I was distracted: I love the people here. The workers are always on point with help if you need it, and awesome about joking with you if you're in a joking mood, and great about giving exceptional service and letting you be quiet if that's what you need that day.

This used to be one of my favorite grocery stores. When I found this store I told all my family about it so they could start shopping as well. Over time the prices keep rising higher and higher in this store. They took my maple bacon out of the store along with a few other items. I do love the fact that rearranged the store to match the Phenix City set up. The quality of item is diminishing though. The produce is not of very good quality and it over all is just not what it used to be. The meat is even more expensive now. It will be one price posted but the meat will be labeled a high price, I was told it is received with that price though. It is just becoming more expensive to shop there, plus paying for bags and bagging your own grocery. Not to mention there is usually only one register open.
