FURNITURE LAND PLUS — Local services in Columbus

In May 2012 I purchased bunk beds from a store by the name of Furniture Land. My kids were sleeping on cots so this was a major priority for me. My son slept on the bottom bunk and within 2 weeks of getting the beds my son had bites on his back and legs. I wasn't sure what it was so I scrubbed the mattress down w/bleach and water but that didn't work. I soon threw out the mattresses to the bunk beds after I actually saw the bugs and my kids were still getting bit. However after throwing out the mattresses, my kids were still getting bit. But prior to the bunk beds being brought into my home and assembled we had no problems with bed bugs. Two weeks ago while moving out of my apartment the beds had to be taken apart so that they could be moved. It was then that we discovered that the bugs were down in the wood of the bunk bed slats. I bought slat protectors so I had no idea that bugs were burrowed down into the slats of the bed. I paid more than $600 for these beds, mattresses and slat protectors now I am out of $600 and my kids do not have decent beds to sleep on. Furthermore Ray at Furniture Land on Morse Rd. vehemently denied that any of their beds have ever been infested with bed bugs but we never had a problem prior to getting these beds from his store. I want to be sure that this store is held accountable and that no one else buys an infested bed from...

They are SHADY! I created an order with employee "Chris" who advised me I would get everything brand new. We noticed a few weird things on our invoice like "as is"....But before I signed my paperwork I made them put "brand new" on the invoice and they refused. I asked 21 questions and ultimately they told me nothing was brand new. I had a hell of a time trying to get my money back too....Its unfortunate....I went next door to Rooms for Less and spent twice the amount of money, but I have pamphlets and packets to go along with my brand new furniture. The folks right next door laughed when I told them my story and they said Furniture Land operates like that all of the time. They always have the News at their store for shady practices. I am lucky I didnt wait until they delivered it to my home to learn it was all used/floor model furniture. I took my $1400 elsewhere and I was able to obtain a peace of mind.....Again,...

Worst furniture place ever, poor customer service and treat people as they want. A friend of mine recently went to this store and purchased an item she didn't pick up yet and went back today to get a refund.
