Kohl's — Local services in Columbus

Not a bad store, but there's obviously a priority on the front of the store compared to the back. Electronics, toys, and other miscellaneous products take up a miniscule portion of the store while clothes dominate the rest. It's somewhat fair, given the fact that Kohl's IS a clothes store, but the back of the store could use improvements. It's always a dirty mess in the toy department; it's impossible to walk through it without stepping on trampled goods. And everything other than clothes are very overpriced. They run frequent deals on clothes, and with Kohl's Cash and rewards, you do typically end up saving money on your purchase, but I don't think it's a good enough excuse to neglect the rest of the store and mark up everything. As for the clothes department, it's great, but they could definitely stand to open some fitting rooms. I understand how it's limited now due to Covid, but opening one room and blocking off the others with random objects seems a little trashy to me. And they had a large chunk of the store partitioned off with caution tape, for whatever reason. It looked like they were.....cleaning the floors? I was offered no explanation on the circumstances, and it was annoying having to waltz all the way around the store to reach one section that I could've just cut through. The visit was very disappointing, 1st we stopped by this past Sunday 8/29/19 and along with our purchase we made at the time, one of the cashier's told us that Wednesdays was veterans discount day, so we waited until Wednesday to return for the discount on our purchase, also we had a Kohls $20 coupon and we are both over 65 years old, after selecting the New Balance shoes I wanted we were then told at the register that today Wednesday was not military discount day it was Monday, so we tried our $20 coupon at the register and was told that the brand name was listed on the back of the coupon that the coupon wouldn't work, so reluctantly we made the purchase and stepped in line at the customer service desk. We explained at the service desk all the above and the person at the service desk then told us there was also a senior discount which the person at the register did not tell us. So the person at the service desk then told us after talking to someone that what we were purchasing did notinclude, military discount or senior citizen discount or the coupon discount. This was a very disappointing visit to Kohls especially since we were misinformed and not aware we had to go to Kohls online to read about what products by brand name are not applied to coupons or discounts. Went to this store today to do a quick exchange of a coat I had purchased in the wrong size. They did not have the size I needed in the store. I stood in line for 35 minutes only for the lady at the register to tell me that I would need to go to another line because she needed to leave. Said line was already backed up from the people who were standing behind me. So I went to customer service. I didnt have my receipt and the lady wanted to give me $20 less than what the cost cost in the store. I just wanted to be able to order it online. I told her I would keep it and just check back so I could do an even exchange. She had to ask someone if it was okay for me to keep the coat I had purchased since she already started the transaction?
