I went to Yummy Bowl prepared for a meal, but what I got felt more like a choose-your-own-adventure novel in culinary form. It’s like the Hogwarts sorting hat of food—you walk in, grab a bowl, and assemble your destiny.
The process is genius. You sit down, order a drink (I went with a pepsi because I live dangerously), and then they hand you a bowl that practically whispers, “Fill me with greatness.” The buffet itself is a sight to behold: an all-you-can-imagine lineup of raw proteins, veggies, sauces, and toppings. You want beef, chicken, shrimp, AND tofu in one bowl? Do it. Add a splash of teriyaki, some garlic sauce, a mountain of mushrooms, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds? Go wild. This buffet isn’t just food; it’s a sandbox for your inner flavor architect.
When I handed my carefully curated creation to the chef, I felt like a contestant on "Chopped," except no one was judging me, and I wasn’t sweating profusely on national television. Watching them cook it up on that big flat-top grill is mesmerizing—like food ASMR. The sizzle alone could cure sadness.
Then they bring your masterpiece back to your table, and let me tell you: it was glorious. The beef was tender, the veggies still had that perfect crunch, and the sauce tied it all together like the last thread in a Michelin-star quilt. Every bite felt like a tiny party in my mouth where everyone was invited.
The only downside? The sheer number of options gave me existential dread. Do I go light on noodles or throw caution to the wind and pile them high? Do I try the sushi or commit fully to my stir-fry dreams? I eventually settled on “everything,” and I regret nothing.
Yummy Bowl isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a creative workshop for your taste buds. Pro tip: wear loose pants.
TL;DR: If you want a meal that tastes amazing and doubles as a fun activity, Yummy Bowl is the place. Just don’t blame me if you have to roll yourself...
Read moreWe came here for my husbands birthday dinner and we’re not impressed. We explained to the waitress that we hadn’t been before and she gave us some cards, walked us through filling them out, then gave us bowls and told us to go get our food. She also explained that we could get an appetizer or sushi. After eating she brought the bill and it said $14.99. No where on the menu did it say that price. We both got the steak and it said $10.99 on the menu. When I asked the waitress about it she said she didn’t speak English. The menu is very confusing. It seems like they just charge you whatever price they feel like. It literally list the prices for the meats on the menu, but they don’t go by those prices. When we finally spoke to a lady at the front she said that those prices are for if you order off of the menu. It says stir fry and appears as though it’s the prices for stir fry which is what you get when you go there. She pointed to the bottom and said that’s what we got which conveniently has no price listed. At the end of the day it felt like they were trying to get one over on us. As far as the food it was lacking flavor. My husband and I both picked different sauces and we both got the spicy chili oil. Neither of our food was spicy at all and neither of us could taste the sauce we used. It has a nice char, but taste like the grill needed a good cleaning. I don’t plan on returning. Between the lack of flavor and the sketch pricing tactics I’ll just make my stir...
Read moreWe’ve been wanting to try yummy bowl ever since it opened. We don’t take our kids out to eat because they act like loonies, and my husband wanted to try it for Fathers Day so we ordered it for pickup. First off, I did not expect to receive a bowl completely packed full to the brim! It was perfectly portioned with 1/3 rice, 1/3 lo mein, and 1/3 steak and veggies. I ordered it to be cooked in the spicy oil with a side of hibachi sauce. I also added soy sauce and that combination was absolutely fantastic. I did not expect to receive two full meals out of my one $14 bowl and it was WELL WORTH the price. The second day leftovers were even better. My husband said the volcano roll is the best sushi he’s ever had (and we’ve tried A LOT of sushi). I usually expect pickup orders to be subpar compared to dining in and eating it fresh. If dining in tastes better than getting it for pickup then my mind will be blown because I can’t imagine it being any more delicious than...
