I strongly advise you to avoid Esporta Fitness. My experience here has been nothing short of a nightmare.the equipment is old and broken, also They have stolen my money, and completely disregarded to solve the issue. When I first signed up for a personal trainer, I was clear with the sales representative, Jan Janev, that I only wanted a 4-month membership. She assured me that she would speak with the VP and get approval for that. After some time, she reached out to confirm that everything was set for the 4-month contract, which began on August 9th and was supposed to end November 9th. Fast forward to December 9th, I noticed a $360 charge on my card, even though my 4-month contract had long been completed. When I contacted the gym, they told me that Jan had been fired for scamming customers. Apparently, she had been telling people they had a 4-month contract, but secretly signed them up for 6 months. I provided proof and the messages showing Jan’s confirmation that the 4-month contract was approved by the VP. Despite this, the gym refused to listen and told me there was nothing they could do. I tried reaching out to the VP, Marcus, multiple times, I requested a call back he didn’t call me back or anything for 3weeks. They offered me no solutions, and when I pressed them for answers, they simply shrugged it off and said, "Sorry you got scammed, but we can’t help you." On December 27th, I went to speak with someone higher up, hoping to resolve this. I waited in front of the office for 20 minutes. Instead of meeting me directly, the staff just kept going back and forth between the manager and me. Ultimately, they told me that not only would they not refund my money, but I would also have to pay an additional $180 buyout if I wanted to leave. They offered me a $75 refund, which is not even half of the money they took from me. This is unacceptable. Esporta Fitness has shown complete disregard for their customers. They are liars, scammers, and very unprofessional, and unwilling to resolve any issues. I’ve heard from other members that they’ve had similar experiences. They take advantage of people and clearly have no respect for their customers or their contracts. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a gym. There are plenty of gyms that actually care about their members and honor their commitments. I will never be coming back to Esporta and I encourage anyone reading this to avoid them...
Read moreGreat facility/ Kind Staff Would NOT recommend the personal training sessions (1 session = 25min = $55-65). Not worth the value; especially if you're paying $30 a MONTH for full access throughout the gym during operating hours. More insight into the value: during my trial session, I witnessed a client and her mother share a session (25min), their Personal Trainer (PT) stood idly by and watched his/her clients perform workouts, occasionally adjusting their posture but mostly chatted about social/ personal life. My PT, however, though a very friendly guy, was more focused on selling me on signing up for PT sessions - I realized this more when he asked me if I was serious about my goals during the conversation. Though I understand he's just "doing his job" that tactic may not go over well with someone who has never been consistent working out. For me, it didn't phase me - for someone else, they may feel they have to dish out loads of money to reach their goals. I met my goals and maintained them before signing up ( I just really appreciated their gym included a sauna - terrible reason for joining a gym). One final note, although no contract is involved - it's definitely a hassle cancelling. I was told I could not cancel via phone or online - I must come in to speak with the Operations Manager (OM). The Operations Manager is available Monday - Friday/ 9 AM - 5 PM . When I arrived, I was then told he [OM] was busy watching __ videos. He [front-desk attendant] offered an option to cancel via sending an email (which would take 2-3 business days). I proceeded to tell the front-desk attendant to alert the manager, especially considering I left my job early to cancel this membership. The OM finally came over and quickly handled the cancellation. Again, great facility - but I do not recommend the...
Read moreIf you are new to the area or are looking to change gyms I would absolutely not recommend this gym! I started going here the beginning of October since I was new to the area. I did the free session with the trainer. Once you finish the training session they sit down with you and tell you everything you are doing wrong and how much weight you need to lose and then present you with offers to sign up for sessions. I told the guy I just moved to the area and need to figure out finances. He pressed on and then came back with two more offers. The guy pressured me until I said yes and signed a contract.
I tried to get out of my contract literally hours after the window to cancel and got sent to corporate to deal with the issue. The representative I talked to helped to get the issue escalated to the regional manager and then finally to the VP of training. Just to have them tell me in order to get out of the contract I need to pay 50% That is absolutely ridiculous when I haven’t used any training sessions (I haven’t used any since the rep told me not to at the beginning of October) and i told them this will not work with my budget now.
It’s been a month since I started dealing with this issue. The VP called and left me a voicemail. I’ve tried to call him back four times and left voicemails for him to give me a call back to ask a few questions. He has yet to return my calls. I then got sent to the district manager and he has not called me either. This company gives you the run around and they have horrible customer service. Don’t go to this gym at all. All they care about is your...
