Great place to get a structured, targeted workout. I love that they often give ways to modify exercises to either take it up a level or to make it more beginner friendly.
I also love that instructors often remind you that this is your own workout hour and if you need to switch an exercise out completely, they do not guilt you for doing so. I often use the treadmill portion of class to simply walk instead of run and love not getting shamed for doing so.
My favorite days are probably Monday's arms and abs and Thursdays Tabata style classes. Love the 20 seconds on 10 seconds rest format of Tabata.
If you're on the fence about trying it out, recruit a friend to go with you and give it a try! Or maybe make a friend while you're there. I often lean on the energy of others in my station group to keep me motivated.
Check this place out and leave with a huge endorphin boost...
Read moreTrialed a class as a part of ClassPass... And it was a killer workout. This is essentially oragetheory x 8 energy drinks... High intensity and high impact. Rotated through 7 stations, 3 minutes at each station, went around twice. Although it is not the type of work out I am looking for at this time in my life as some of the exercises, I could see myself getting hurt doing (box jumps, hopping on a moving treadmill)... It is nonetheless a good workout. I will say, everyone in the class is on the younger side 20ish and very fit/in the shape of their lives... Not sure if only fit people go here because of the level of difficulty or if some people started out like me (slightly chubby and out of shape) and then became very fit from the exercise? Kudos to them either way. They also validate parking...
Read moreI started taking classes on ClassPass and liked it so much I got a membership. I've lost 20 lbs since starting and being consistent.
Can seem overwhelming if you've never taken this style of class before, but once class gets going you get the hang of it quickly.
Great place if you want to get back into working out after a while off if you don't know where to begin. The workout is set for you but if you don't like a move or need to modify or switch it up, there's no judgement.
Formats are different each day and it seems like they are trying to add more cardio in, which I don't love, especially if I can't get through a couple sets of the strength moves, but again... You can modify and get what you...
