"Check Out Columbus' Stunning Rooftop Brunch Spot Here 🍸🌆"

I went here with a group of 6 for my friend's birthday. She made a reservation for 1:15 ahead of time but there were plenty of tables available upon arrival so I don't think reservations are necessary. My first impression was that the decor had a warm, old charm to it. ✨️ I loved the color palette. The menu is only one page, so not a ton of variety but enough to find something you'd be interested in trying. We ordered the Biscuit Tower to share and the different toppings were awesome! However, I might add that the price for some biscuits and spoonfuls of honey, jam, etc, was frightful. 🍯 $65!! My husband ordered the deviled eggs (he LOVES chicharrón) and the dish they arrived on was adorable. 😍 The eggs were good, and I appreciated the cracked salt that could be added as well. 🧂 Lastly, we ordered a few rounds of fries to share. Overall, the ambiance was lovely. I greatly appreciated that there wasn't loud music or noisy people here. Most brunch places have hoards of people crammed into the restaurant and music blaring. Our group was comfortably able to converse and enjoy our food. However, the prices were shocking. When I look back at everything we ate, it was highfalutin finger food. Finally, I'd like to come here again in the summer to sit outside and enjoy the view and give it another try. Maybe dinner would be more suitable for my liking. P.S. One of the workers there was incredibly kind and took tons of photos of our group outside and by the Christmas trees. 🎄 Good customer service goes a long way!

If this was on the first floor located anywhere else, it would have closed by now. While nicely decorated with an upscale feel, the views are the main attraction. Service- Our server, Brian, was attentive, polite and personable. Food- The limited menu lacks variety and the food was less desirable and overpriced. 3 of the 4 in my party ordered the scallops as an entree. The "four" scallops are actually two, cut in half and turned over so the browned sides give the illusion that there's actually four. But wait, there's more...when your check arrives you'll be surprised to find 6.75% in fees have been added in addition to taxes and expected tips. 2.5% Culinary Service Charge?! If you truly want to support "equitable culinary wages", then pay your staff accordingly. 2.25% Credit Card Fee?! Seriously, who carries cash these days? Any upstanding business would absorb these types of fees. 2% Community Development tax?! City taxes cover revitalization of areas like Franklinton and provide business tax cuts to open businesses and provide employment to locals. Overall, these fees are downright deceitful and refuse to support a business with these practices. There are places throughout the city far more enjoyable that will exceed your expectations. If it's the sunset you want to see, grab a 6 pack, a pizza and drive to the top of the Vine St parking garage and save yourself the $$ and disappointment.

Okay… first let me start with the good. I had to change my reservation time a few days prior to when I was supposed to be there (same day, just an hour later). They were able to accommodate that. When I got there, the table they initially had for us would not work because the seats were too low and my sister has a disability that would make it hard for her to sit in the seats. They changed our table, no problem. I was very appreciative of them for accommodating both of those changes. I was told we couldn’t sit on the other side of the rooftop because the service would be subpar based on where the servers other tables are, so they sat us in the indoor area

Now to the bad. Our waitress. She never introduced herself. When my sister sat down, she came over and just said “what do you want to drink?” She ordered the espresso martini (the drink I wanted only came in an $80 pitcher so I just sipped lukewarm water the entire time) and we put in our food order as well. Her drink came out first and the biscuit tower another 20 minutes later. We each ate 1 biscuit with the fixins but didn’t want to eat much more because we had food coming still. We’re waiting, we’re barely getting checked on. Pretty soon, we notice it’s been 40 minutes since our appetizer came out. The waitress comes over and she’s said our food is coming out very soon. We ask her if she can check to see how long. She comes back and says “10 mins because they just got a huge rush of orders”, which makes no sense because we ordered over 40 mins ago. By this point, the table next to us, who came and ordered after us, got their food. Soon, someone who was seemingly in a supervisor/manager role came over and said the same thing- food was coming, they just got an influx of orders. We ask how the people next to us were served before us. She said she would check. She came back and said she had no answer and said she would comp our main courses (leaving us to pay for the martini and biscuits- which we were fine with). With all of this going it, it still took another 15-20 mins for our food to come out, which made the total wait time AFTER the drink and appetizer came 1 hour. By the time the food came, my appetite was gone because the experience was so lousy. I did take a few bites because we waited so long. The food was very fresh and hot, but the burger patty was not seasoned and the fries were straight from a bag. Our entire check ended up being comped, but I can’t ever go back based on this. And we were still planning on going back to experience the rooftop vibe and try more of the food. If I knew the service was going to be that bad, I would’ve just waited for the outdoor seating they were steered me away from because they said the service...

I’ve been reading through some of the reviews and Brass Eye typically replies, saying they want to learn from feedback. My suggestion would be to actually learn from the consistent feedback received. The service here is abysmal.

My friends beat me to the reservation by 20 minutes and they were seated, but not offered water, drinks, etc. In fact, I was there for 10 minutes before water was brought to the table, which means my friends waited 30 minutes for water.

The waitress knew nothing about the menu, including drinks or pastry of the day. We made a drink order and it took 20 minutes to get our drinks (which we could see sitting on a tray at the bar, getting watered down from melting ice). This happened twice, to the point that my friend went up and asked the hostess if we could just grab our drinks.

The food took 30 minutes after the waitress finally took our orders…. At this point, we had been at the restaurant for over an hour.

Another waitress came over and I told her the service was terrible. She said “we are going through a lot of hotel changes and are severely short staffed”. No apology. Of note, it was not busy (maybe a total of 12 tables sat) with 2 bartenders and 3 wait staff, as well as a manager and a host. To me, that doesn’t feel short staffed enough for the service we received.

The manager finally came over, apologized, and said she was going to comp a round of drinks and half the bottle of wine. She did not comp the wine and the bills had to be redone.

Of note, the table beside us also asked to speak to the manager, because they had been overcharged the night before (also a common review comment).

The power bowl and avocado toast both came with eggs, which are not mentioned in the menu description. My vegan friend’s food had to be remade.

I will never come here again and I will be telling everyone else to...

Was very excited for the fireworks pkg during red white and boom. Mind you, we could've flown roundtrip to Key West for less than what I spent on this one-night package deal 15 minutes from my house. Included was a room and 21+ rooftop viewing party with 1st come 1st serve tables. 😅 after waiting for an hour outside with other party people that DIDN'T get a room (No VIP entry for guests that are staying overnight??!?) we get removed from a table because all tables outside along the rail are RESERVED 🤔 so we were shuffled inside to a small 2top table in the back bathroom corner, which we shared with another couple. Had to almost trip drink and party app servers to order anything. A manager came by and schmoozed us for a minute and promised to come back with a biz card. He never returned, so awhile later I ran him down and gave him mine. He didnt have much to say at all. All drinks and other food were cash ... so after the initial $650 spent , we had to pay even more for actual food and drinks.. plus stood more than an hour at the railing to make sure we could see the fireworks. Our room that overlooked an apt building and parking garage, oh and $50 to park your car overnight... all to be 15 minutes from home. Oh and there were kids there, after strict instructions not to bring them. I was told this place was CLUTCH. Terribly disappointed in the entire evening. I was so irritated spending that kind of money, ($800 range when said and done) that I really just wanted to pack up and go home without staying. If it wasnt such a pain to get the car from valet at midnight, we would have. Also if I had known that the treatment was the same without paying extra for a $500 room, I would've just got tix to the party and went home after. Never again. One of my worst...
