Windrose Outdoor — Attraction in Columbus

Excellent, relaxing experience! My partner and I booked a tandem kayak on Saturday morning for the last evening slot. Awesome views from the river, very quiet and calm. Super cool seeing people on the bridges and in the green spaces along the riverbanks. Very close to nature, saw a blue heron, a couple of egrets and lots of geese. also saw the occasional fish pop up for an insect meal. I def recommend adding on the waterproof cell phone case (as pictured) - extra security plus it's yours to keep for future watercraft activities. The 1hr duration was perfect considering the route is only about 1 mile or so. TAKE SUN SCREEN! The intensity of the sun reflecting off the river will for sure fry your skin, esp your face! Don't take any chances, SPF Up! Definitely an experience to try, and also check out their free Wednesday nights...

I recently took my family to kayak with windrose outdoor and did NOT have a great experience with the staff. None of my family had ever been kayaking and figured this would be a perfect opportunity to introduce them to it. One of my family members in particular had a rough time navigating the kayak. When my family member came up short of the landing area, Rose, the worker at the time was not very hospitable about the situation and even made passive aggresive comments like " I guess its hard to listen to clear directions even for adults sometimes" Which was very rude. I highly recommend the river and the views were great, but my experience with the staff here was very passive aggressive and did not come off as very accepting or...

This company is not flexible at all when it comes to personal family emergencies that prevent you from showing up to your reservation. I understand they are running a business, but I would expect a bit of compassion and understanding when a true emergency arises. I explained the situation in full detail and was hoping they would let us reschedule for another time. Sadly they just kept my money and my wife and I never got to go kayaking to celebrate our wedding anniversary. There are other kayak vendors along the river and I would highly suggest using someone else with a sense of modern...
