YES Cinema & Conference Center — Local services in Columbus

I want to say our experience was good because I know the cinema supports a good cause but unfortunately it was not. We ordered tickets days in advance and arrived 20 minutes early. There was a line out the door. A lot of people in the line did not have tickets ordered yet & one person made a comment so the rest behind us got online & quickly ordered theirs.

We haven’t even gotten scanned in & we can hear that the movie has already started! Then by the time we do all get in there isn’t enough seats for everyone. There is 1 seat here & 2 seats there. It’s dark & 8 minutes into the movie!! So you can’t even see to ask people to scoot together & the worker refused to do so. I was alone with my 3 small children. The man working literally told me we would all have to split up and seat all around the theater. I refused. So he got a woman to help me. She ended up getting fold out chairs for my family & another couple who needed to be sat by their elderly family member.

I could have forgiven the movie beginning before everyone was in and maybe even the lack of seats… but how rude the worker was was unacceptable. Telling a mother her small children would have to sit by strangers all throughout a dark theater or we wouldn’t be able to watch...

Considering I used to visit Yes Cinema quite frequently with my family and friends to view movies, the quality of their management I experienced today was quite disappointing. They failed to mention that paying for a refill on a large drink only applies to certain beverages, until, of course, it had already happened. Despite me showing them my receipt and trying to reason with them, they showed me little respect and sent me back to my seat. We moved to Columbus in Oct 2022. We just keep on discovering new gems in this town and this YES Cinema is just another one! My wife and I have had 2 date nights here now and just love it!! Looking forward to bringing our son here for the new Paw Patrol next week. Prices are unbeatable and the whole place is just VERY WELL kept and spotless!
