4th Street Bar & Grill—it’s more than a bar, more than a restaurant. It’s more than a place to see live music on a Friday night. More than a place to meet with friends for weekly trivia. 4th Street Bar & Grill is what every neighborhood bar should be, hopes to be, dreams to be.
Any restaurant or bar can have good food, cold drinks, and give you a reason to grab lunch during work or meet up with family and friends for dinner. What sets 4th street apart is its staff. Don’t get me wrong, people will drive for miles to eat the amazingly fresh, off-the-grill food, served just the way they ordered it. But these are some of the most dedicated, hardworking, and friendly people in the industry. They’ll learn your name, your favorite drink, how you like your burger cooked or what side you prefer to substitute. 4th Street is a place where the owners will drop by to check on things and end up bringing your food to your table so that your server can take a break. And it’s a rare occasion where someone leaves without the bartender or staff wishing them a good afternoon or evening and thanking them for stopping in.
Who is 4th Street for? Everyone. Well, everyone of legal age. It doesn’t matter if you’re a young professional in town to catch up with friends over a drink and meal or celebrating your 90th birthday, 4th Street hosts all, and all enjoy the friendly atmosphere and environment equally.
Truly a gem, nestled in downtown Columbus—it’s the type of place every town deserves but very few actually have. So, looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite, or spend all evening catching up with friends, family or coworkers? This is the place. Want to sit at the bar rail? You’re bound to leave having met a new friend or rubbing elbows...
Read moreAfter reading the glowing reviews, my wife, daughter and I were looking forward to a great evening at the 4th Street eatery. Unfortunately, we never got to try the delicious food because after receiving our water and beer, our waitress avoided our table at every turn. She took orders from two tables that were seated after us, with one table far in the rear with six guest, and also began bussing other tables with patrons that were finishing. So, 25 minutes after receiving water and beer she hadn't returned to take our food order. A guest close to our table accidentally knocked a water glass over while preparing to leave. After our waitress provided a towel and was close enough, I asked if I had maybe offended her in some manner since she failed to return to our table. Her response was a sarcastic "SORRY IF I WAS NOT FAST ENOUGH FOR YOU" at which point I paid for the beer and we got up and walked out. Even with such poor attitude, I left her 30% tip. We dine out every Friday evening and understand that waitresses have...
Read moreIn town for a sports tournament. Made a large group reservation here for dinner. Was very kind and easy to work with at time of booking. However, at 5pm, an 1 1/2 hr before our reservation, I get a phone call to confirm our location only for them to tell me it’s a 21 and over only restaurant. So, I was left scrambling at the last minute for a nice team dinner. It’s Columbus, IN, not Nashville, TN. Never would have imagined a “bar & grille”, full service restaurant, would have an age limit. Nor is it mentioned anywhere on their website, the Visit Columbus website (where I found the recommendation, or in any google reviews posted in the last year and a half. If this is your policy, fine, but it should be the first thing mentioned to patrons when booking a reservation. Was incredibly...
