Summary: Great Place. Great People. Great Atmosphere.
This was my first time at Gramz and I was not disappointed. I came in the morning to get some coffee as I had some business to attend to downtown. I got the $3.45 Espresso Americano and was pleased.
The flavor was deep and smooth--exactly how it should be. This is exactly what I love about small businesses over larger chains such as Starbucks. They take the time to get things right!
I came back later that day to cool off after attending to my business and ordered a smoothie. I got the 20 oz $5.69 Cherry Cranberry smoothie after finding out that they were out of most of the other flavors on the menu (the Cherry Cranberry was ironically not on said menu.)
The young lady who served me did initially create the 16oz. instead of the 20oz. but she had taken the orders of several other people between my order and making it, so I can't blame the honest mistake. She quickly and politely corrected it so I do not hold that against them.
However, I was somewhat disappointed with the smoothie itself. For a little over $6 (after tax) smoothie, I expected a bit more. It was what essentially appeared to be fruit juice and ice. There's admittedly probably more to it than that, but that is how it seemed.
This is the only reason they are getting 4 instead of 5 stars.
I did not try the baked goods or other food, though they looked delicious.
I'd highly recommend Gramz for the coffee, but I would be less inclined to do so for the smoothies.
Detailed Rating:
Coffee: 10/10 Smoothies: 4/10 Service: 11/10 (I have great respect for people willing to admit their mistakes and correct them.) Atmosphere: 10/10
Cannot rate baked goods, food, or teas as I did not order them.
All in all, I will likely come here again. I will likely just stick with the coffee.
Great job Gramz.
Remember to support local businesses, that's the only way places like Gramz...
Read moreOrdered a cake over a week in advance. Cake was Beautiful. Served 1 day later at Birthday Party. Unsealed cake and cut into. Stagnant odor. Kids at Party stating out loud Cake tastes awful. Adults and kids refused to eat after 1 Bite. Contacted Bakery privately and she accused me of doing something to cake. Shocking reply. Originally stated wanted nothing but to just say cake did not taste right. Did not expect to be told I sabatoged my own 65.00 cake. Insult to injury she said she had enough batter left to make more baked items and glazed as well with my 65.00 leftovers. I am so glad I was abe to help Gramz make a profit. Then insulted me by saying her entire staff sampled my cake and she will not Compensate me. Again I originally told her I wanted nothing. With that said it was a very pretty cake. For the public after she responded. She lied. She did say all employees sampled batter and icing she also said she made multiple items with leftover batter. Including for her kids. She also asked me what I did to the cake even stating I might have bad items in my refrigerator. I will not argue anymore. You are a owner and did not satisfy a well paying customer. Insulted me again with asking to return the cake. Seriously. Go to Victory Gymnastics and dig it out of the Dumpster. I'm going to be lucky if parents don't sue me over this. Let's not forget she baked and sculptured and decorated 12 hours prior to pickup. Well why did I sit in lobby waiting for 30 minutes because you were...
Read moreso this is a cute place for grabbing a coffee and a treat with a friend, but NOT if you intend to get anything productive done using their internet. I decided to come in on a Saturday to complete some schoolwork. In the middle of a timed assignment, their internet stopped working. I went up to the counter and the group of teenagers working there were in a circle on their phones. It took them several minutes to notice me. I was told they’d reboot the wifi. I waited over 10min while the clock ticked for my timed quiz. Nothing. I am upset because I intended on trying some of their baked goods during my time there, but instead I had to scramble out of there with my computer and full coffee in hand to find a place to complete my work. please do better by your customers! I was initially so excited about this place but the terrible service and lack of concern over a common cafe commodity like wifi made it so I probably...
