We had an unfortunate experience at this location. Clerk named: âCodyâ sold a dud Meta Quest 3 to my husband 12/10. Unbeknownst to him he kept in bag until wrapping the night before Xmas. To our disappointment we opened it with our child on Xmas to find a dirty used broken older model. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt even though seal was not broken i assumed it was a trade in and maybe the clerk grabbed wrong box 𼴠but upon returning the day after where to no surprise âcodyâ wasnât in but the âassistant managerâ jordan or justin was and was immediately argumentative and avoidant along with the âsupervisorâ who was relaying messages over the store phone but refused to speak personally, âKateâ as well as nameless âownerâ All of whom deferred the entire instance no sympathy no effort in âinvestigatingâ or any real help besides referring us to call Meta Quest customer support đ which is a joke in itself because how can they help when it was never in our possession to register it etc.? The whole process was off putting and frustrating to say the least. Even if they werenât able to âdo anythingâ why not assist in narrowing down the fact their employee did something shady. It makes them look just as guilty as this âcodyâ person. Negative 5 âď¸ for...
Read moreThe man who was there yesterday seem to be kind and helpful when we first arrived. After we looked around they had a great selection of stuff and the store was really clean. When we were ready to check out I got a completely different vibe from this man. I asked him if we could do two separate transactions one for each child he said some thing about it being easier on his system if we did it a certain way. I did not understand what he was trying to explain to me. Nor was he very patient and re-explaining it all I wanted was two separate receipts. Then when I told him to go ahead and just ring everything up together I would figure it out later he responded â thatâs what I was trying to do in the first placeâ I found his behavior to be extremely rude. Then he took the games off the counter and responded let me make sure that we even have these games first. He had the games on the back counter looking for the actual disc and I noticed him tossing one of the cases with an attitude. I was completely appalled by his behavior! And will not return to this location, Iâll take my business...
Read moreThis location used to provide a positive experience in the past, but that is no longer the case. The GameStop in Farmington Hills is a better option now. During my visit, I attempted to trade in my consoles and was informed that they do not do trades an hour before closing. The next day, I returned at 2:30 PM and only one person was working the registers. I was told they were trying to limit staffing to one person on weekdays, which was confusing. Despite there being few customers, I waited 20 minutes and the employee was incredibly slow. He also informed me that he didn't have any cash on hand and could only offer in-store credit for my consoles. I ultimately decided to call the Farmington Hills GameStop, where I received exceptional service from the four employees and completed my transaction...
