I do exercise in their pool for an hour a day most days. The experience is 10 out of 10 during the week. There are a few things to consider though. First, if you are in a bariatric wheelchair and you cannot actually stand on your own this facility can be hard to navigate. Not impossible. But, hard. If you are trying to get to the pool you have to stand up to get through the door. This could be fixed by a matter of 2 in. Something for stuff and maintenance to consider. Another thing if you are a community member and you are using the facility. Lock up your belongings! There is a good chance that they will be stolen if you do not! On Saturday the pool is really busy. There's a lot of classes..just find your spot and stay out of the others way. Sundays, STAY HOME! EVERY SUNDAY THAT I HAVE BEEN THERE HAS BEEN A VAST QUANTITY OF CHILDREN WHO WERE UNACCOMPANIED! DOESN'T SOUND LIKE IT SHOULD BE A PROBLEM RIGHT? WELL, IT DEFINITELY WAS AND IS HERE! THESE CHILDREN WERE CURSING, USING VULGAR TERMINOLOGY, MAKING FUN OF OTHERS, AND TOUCHING ME! I'm not trying to be a Karen so I came back 5 or 6 times to see is this something that continues to happen. Well, child it is! 0 out of 10! Also, if your teens go to eagle pointe on Sundays, watch them or something! Because my children would be in serious trouble! I also want to say that the staff here have nothing to do with my experience. They do try their hardest to get the kids to listen to them. Sundays are busy days for staff at...
Read moreThe rec center close to my house was closed, so we drove 30 mins to this rec center for the pool. The lap pool was too cold for our babies. Then we saw the therapy pool; perfect temp and atmosphere. The rules said children were allowed if accompanied by an adult and it was all-swim time. We were then told by lifeguards only adults allowed even during all-swim time. We asked where this was posted. It was solely posted on a sheet of paper on a door that most people don’t go through. They go thru the bathrooms after changing. Not posted on the rules, the website, their swim schedule, the door to the therapy pool, nor anywhere else besides the one door people don’t go thru.
I gave 4 instead of 3 stars bc I do appreciate that even though they claimed adults only in the therapy pool, they allowed us to go in that day since we drove all that way and the pool was too cold for babies. I really hope they reconsider because I won’t go back if that’s the case. There is a reason for adult only and all swim times so that both children and adults can all enjoy the pools separately...
Read moreThe lockers put in after the remodel are worthless. They are so small 2 are needed as long as you don't have a heavy coat then you would need 3. It doesn't matter if it's the men's or women's lockers they are the same size. The bottom lockers are at floor level. Very inconvenient. The hot water situation has not been resolved, there is no hot water in the ladies lockers. There are next to no grab bars in the showers either. The long benches have been removed and replaced with 2, yes 2, 2'x3' "benches". They are placed in the middle of the room. Someone with a walker or a wheelchair are going to have to maneuver a bit . Very poorly laid out. I have been told that the city council approved the lockers, they made a very unpopular decision. The hydro pool is split into 2 sections. The bottom part has a ramp, the upper part has stairs. The bottom part has 3 waterfalls. Very pretty but could use a...
