This summer I need to be smooth for my beach and pool extravaganzas. But after I tried another studio where the waxer double dipped and I had to stop her during my wax, I was on the hunt for a waxing experience that diverged from the new aesthetic trend of ripping all my hair from my most delicate areas in one hard wax pull, and leaving a molding of my jewels for all to see. Though good for instagram clicks its not good for avoiding ingrowns and scarring so I was on the hunt for a studio that wasn't a chop shop chain but also not a waxer whose goal was clicks and likes over satisfaction and skin health.

I found Ms Annies through a web search and upon visiting the site pages was greeted with rave reviews. And for good reason: after working with two young ladies and finally sticking with Danielle since her schedule works well with mine (I also worked with Erica who I really enjoyed too!) and also after having visited her at both Tyson's and Reston (near my job), I am sold.

Ms Annie's studio uses a chocolate wax that can be used hard or soft and Danielle did small pulls with muslin going in the direction of the hair. I have not suffered a bad ingrown since coming to this studio. Danielle is very gentle and sweet and I enjoy our conversations while she is giving me great service. Both the Reston and the Tyson's location are welcoming but if you're a plant lover definitely swing around to Reston as there is a rare and uncommon plant exhibit courtesy the owner, Ms Annie. As a plant momma this warmed my heart.

Booking is very simple via the site and I can always get an appointment. One day I had an emergency and had to reschedule and they were SO accommodating. And the best part? Anything you need to pamper yourself between appointments you can get there. Be it soy wax candles in custom scents or solution to keep your skin smooth and bump free....

I've been going to Ms. Annie for the past 4 years now, and I am bummed that I didn't find her earlier. All my life, I was scared of getting a bikini/brazilian wax. But Ms. Annie has changed that for me forever.

I found this place on Yelp back in 2019 and was intrigued by the 5 star ratings. I called them and made an appointment with Ms. Annie. Most of the reviews talked how amazing she is, so I wanted to make sure my first wax appointment was with her.

The salon is extremely clean and very well maintained. I was asked to sign in, and waited in the waiting area. Then Ms. Annie came out. Ms. Annie is so amazing. I told her it's my first time here, and she told me 'You will never shave again'. She engaged me in a friendly conversation, and made sure I was comfortable. She put the right amount of pressure in the sensitive areas, and kept checking if I was ok. The whole process lasted 10 minutes (maybe less). Ms. Annie was very detailed and made sure each and every section was clean. After the wax, I felt so amazing and knew I was hooked.

That was my experience 4 years ago, and today, its even better. The hair growth has become less. And Ms. Annie is an amazing as ever.

Does it hurt? Well, I have the least amount of pain threshold, even though I have delivered a baby. It doesn't hurt, but you do feel the pressure in certain areas. But that lasts only 3-4 seconds. Ms. Annie knows what areas will be more sensitive, and she puts pressure on it to reduce the discomfort.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who is still wondering if they should get a Brazilian wax. This place is amazing. Get an appointment and you will be hooked....I know I am for life!!!

They have an office in Tysons and Reston. You will not be disappointed. Ms. Annie and her staff is extremely professional and just so amazing. Both women and men waxing...

Kya is honestly God's gift to hair removal. She keeps the conversation going to keep your mind off that ripping. She's so quick with it, has a strong hand to get the strip off instantly, and seems to always have a great temperature for the wax.

I’ve had many other staff members that I would recommend any one of them. Annie, Kim, and a few others have been terrific! There are plenty of time slots to be able to land specific stylists, or you can just select from all available appointment times if you need a time that works best for your schedule.

The office itself is very clean and tidy. I’ve never had any concerns and feel confident that the office is well sanitized. I’ve noticed different staff members all follow the same routine of a new popsicle stick for each application.

Other great things about this place: the staff as a whole are all very kind and upbeat. They have the best sugar scrub products that I love to pick up one for myself and others for gifts. They also are great with recommending useful products if you struggle with ingrowns. I recently discovered that the beds are heated! Never noticed that before, but I love it. They also have these bomb playlists that I have been following for personal jam seshes.
