Came in this afternoon. This is about your employee working checkout 7. Blonde tangled hair&no makeup.I Spent $38.92 on some Men's underwear. (For my husband)I go to checkout at checkout 7 & she asks "Would you like to join our rewards program?" I responded "oh no thank you, that's ok" she then said"It will save you $3 on your total" I said "oh ok, does it take very long?" She: "oh not at all,u just have to answer 3quick questions &it saves you on your next purchases too is all it is" I then said "oh ok , sure I guess then, thanks" then I answer the3 questions (name, phone#& social security#) So when gets to social security# I say "oh um why does it need this?" She says" oh I'll give u a little paper that says we don't have any access to any of your personal information,& it's not saved or anything like that"&so then after she says "ok it's not going to take off the$3" So I replied "oh,ok what'd do u mean it's not going to or why wouldn't it?"(being how thought &was told that was literally the entire point)&she hands me a receipt&says"It was declined" I say"what was declined"? Her: "Well it's for our store credit" Me:What do u mean store credit?Like a credit card?" Her: "yeah it's for our store credit card" Me:"Are u serious? So that just hit a soft hit on my credit &now I'm going to have that I applied for a TJMAXX credit card?" Her: Yeah" Me: "um then why wouldn't u say that? I didn't sign up for a credit card,u literally just stood here&told me it was quote "Our rewards program"& I said no thank u&u said all it does in save u $3 off your purchase" Her "yeah I don't know"&looks at fellow employee & smirks... Then I say "Well that's a problem bc u flat out lied to me&I have been taking extreme measures with my credit &have gotten it way up & have never in my life signed up for a credit card except for over 4years ago&it was through my bank&the entire reason was to improve my credit & only to just pay it off for a loan) I said"So u can't do anything about this?& Now I just have this on my credit report, bc u flat out lied?"&she said"yeah I guess" So I walk off&then she screams "You didn't pay for that!!She didn't pay for that!!!!!"&her& fellow employee start chasing after me all within my approx. 5-7steps&so I turn around &say I'm sorry I didn't realize being how I scanned my card&u just signed me up for a credit card& swiped my card& paid. Then I said"seriously though omg I can't believe , you should seriously not be able to legally say"would u like to sign up for our rewards program, then when told no thank u,then proceed to say"Oh all it does is take$3off your purchase"when ur actual signing up someone for a credit card" I'm walking off& as I am 2ft from going out the doors she says to her fellow employee to the left of her &very loudly to make a point I could hear all the way from the doors "SOMEONE'S IN A MOOD" & in front of many customers. I said "Excuse me??"& She says under her breath"mmmmmooooooooddddyyyyy". ???!!!!!!!!!! What in the actual F though, Is this customer service now????& This is how TJ MAXX trains their employees??& This is the character of employees here??! Despite this review & though possibly hard to believe I am far from a trashy person & WAS IN A ABSOLUTELY FINE MOOD- up until being told finally"yeah it's our store credit card" I was if anything overly nice & respectful & honestly STILL had no disrespect of any sort up until being smirked at immediately after being told um yeah it's our store credit, for asking" You mean u just tried signing me up for a credit card? You said for our rewards program & after me saying no thank you &u telling me "all it is, is it saves u $3off your purchase &saves u on future purchases??"& Then she smirked at me& seriously said "I guess". & Then immaturely & undeniably trashily yells "Somebody in a mood" as I'm walking out for being upset& told she can't do anything about what I now have on my credit score??!! 100%...

Read moreUpdate: I came in to shop for a few items for my girlfriend and found what I needed. When I checked out, I declined to round up for charity — not out of disregard, but because I already support specific charities that I personally give to each year.
The cashier’s response was completely inappropriate. He said, “Oh, you’re gonna let them starve then?” That kind of comment is unacceptable in any customer service setting. It’s disrespectful and shows a serious lack of professionalism and empathy.
Not everyone who comes through that line can afford to give — some are stretching just to make ends meet. To guilt or shame anyone over a donation is wrong, period.
I strongly suggest that management address this through corrective action and proper training. Comments like that don’t belong in retail, food service, or any job dealing with the public. Frankly, if it were my decision, I’d move that employee along to another line of work where customer interaction isn’t required.
No one should walk out of a store feeling insulted for choosing how they handle their own charitable giving.
I called and was left on hold for 30 minutes but no one talking to me. That’s how you handle your customer service and issues and you still don’t care. I’m pretty sure that’s how you actually train...
