GameSwap Buy Sell Trade — Local services in Cookeville

My daughter and I stopped by on one of our "retro gaming" hunt days. We had never heard of this place and wanted to check it out, see what NES, SNES, N64 games they had. They had a better selection than I was expecting, albeit some of it a little pricier than I would like. But it's a brick and mortar store so not too terribly surprising there.

The part that gets a 1 star, and us never coming back is the aquarium/reptile/mammal pet store that is part of this business. These tanks are nasty. The enclosures for the animals are disgusting and crowded. Does not look well taken care of at all. Place should be inspected and potentially closed. It was so bad, that we decided we couldn't buy a single game from a business like this, we will not come back, and I felt the need to write this review. My daughter was visibly upset by the condition these animals...

Went there for VHS and more than half were covered in mold inside where the tapes are. Also VHS tapes anywhere else are 25¢ to about $2, but here they are $5 which is insane. The environment inside the store is so humid and wet that tapes are molding and a lot of the electronic stuff looked to have corrosion on connectors and spaces where you could see motherboards/internals. Also not happy with the conditions the chinchillas have to live in the back. Clearly just being bred for profit. If you buy anything electronics or media, I can almost guarantee that it will soon fail or rot away from humidity/...

Bro, these 1 star reviews are actually killing me LOL! 😆 The business should NOT be closed down, and I love all of the animals\fish\reptiles they have. I have bought a couple of things in the past that I still use to this day, AND I got them for a good price. Im actually going over there later today to look at their game slelction. Some people just don't even...
