Horrible experience! We went in for a tux for prom and a sports coat, shirt and tie for a funeral. We were in the store for about 3 hours, and worked with 4 or 5 different employees, all of which acted as though the hated their job. The prom fitting took forever, each person had their job to do so the customers had to wait over and over again. Highly inefficient method! Once we finished with the tux, we moved to the sports coat area. Several employees were standing around, several made eye contact with us but none of them asked to assist us. After waiting for 15 minutes, I finally asked an employee if he would help us. He reluctantly agreed. As we left, we spoke about how rude the employees had been but we attributed it to the prom season. We were told that we’d get a phone call and/or email when the tux arrived, we never did. My son went in to pick up the tux the day before prom. He tried it on and told the employee that the pants were too big. She told him to just cinch them up, they’d be fine. The next day was prom and when my son went to get dressed he couldn’t get the pants to cinch up enough. Upon further inspection, they were about 8 sizes larger than his regular size. We cinched them as far as they would go and they fell right off of him. He put on the coat and the lapel had a stain on it that we had to strategically pin the flower over so it didn’t show.
When we returned the tux, I asked to speak to a manager. Both managers were busy, while all of the other employees were standing around. Finally she came over, but barely listened to us. She just said ok as I explained our entire experience. Then she told us to wait and went to the register. After a few minutes, she yelled across the store for us to come to the register. At that point she said she was refunding $75 to my card. She then said she was sorry but it was very insincere. I was trying to tell her that it was a frustrating experience and she cut me off and said she didn’t know the whole story so she couldn’t really comment. At that point I told her that even though we had shopped there several times before, we would not be coming back. She replied with “ok”.
Obviously our business isn’t important, so we will take...
Read moreOverall underwhelming experience. First, when we first walked in and I said that I needed help with putting a wedding tuxedo together and hadn't done this before, the rental clerk named Jason didn't seem the least bit interested in assisting. Second, there was a disappointingly limited selection for rentals. My fiance selected a purple for her brides maids so I brought the fabric swatches from David's Bridal to match the color. When I showed Jason he almost bragged about how they frequently they work David's Bridal, yet we quickly discovered that they had nothing even close to the purple we were looking for. My thought was "Really?! Purple is a pretty common color used in weddings, and you guys only have maybe two or three shades!?"
Next, when we finally gathered up some articles of clothing that might work for what I had in mind I wanted to try them on to see if the look actually worked the way I had envisioned it in my mind and the sample pictures off the internet, as well as get a second opinion from my brother. Jason hesitated, and I actually got the impression that he wanted to tell me "No!". Then he proceeded to pull the remaining pieces off of mannequins because they were the only ones they had and idly commented that he hoped they fit! While in the dressing room he made a comment to my brother that he never had guys want to try things on. Really!? Men's Warehouse never has men come in and want to try on a the tuxedo they will be renting for their wedding to see how they look!? I find that pretty hard to believe!
My persistence paid off though. The style I imagined turned out to not look as good on a person after all. We barely started to discuss a plan B when I decided that I was done dealing with Men's Warehouse, their complications, and this uninterested clerk. Finally, to finish everything off, when I said that we'd been there longer than expected and would have to work on a different option for myself and the groomsmen another time, Jason couldn't have sounded more thrilled to write down some of the pieces we tried on and send...
Read morePart of a wedding part that walked in and we got ignored for sometime. The measurements were done faster then it took to ring one person up. One person was left to deal with all the rest of the stuff after the measurements. They never asked about the colors or anything either. Luckily the groom and the bride called the place to inform them of the wedding colors so at least Men's Wearhouse got that right.
I went to pick up my suit the day before the wedding. Got fitted one more time and seem like it was ok. They said they needed to do some final adjustments. I waited for them and finally was brought out the suit and told I was good to go. I paid and left the store. The next day I go to put on the suit and find my pants were made for flood waters apparently and my coat made my shoulders look twice the size. Very awkward looking. I looked terrible in the pictures. The vest and shirt fitted perfectly but something happened with the coat and pants. I couldn't go back to have they try to do some kind of fix as the wedding was at my place and Coon Rapids store is the closest and it's a hour away. Had to bring back the very next day, which by the way is a joke, and the one person who was taking care of the area had 5 other people on hand. I couldn't leave a complaint with her and still had a hour drive and just wanted to get home.
I guess if there is one suggestion about going here dress very nice. I watched as the same people who ignored us for awhile almost trip over each other to help a guy that came in a little later who was dress very nice. They are looking to cater to kings there and when average joe comes in and do your best to ignore.
I should add that I hear other Men's Wearhouses...
