Not sure what happened though it has been a steady race to the bottom for the Office Depot at 9545 Westview Drive in Coral Springs. I've tried three times over the past several months to shop there and each time the experience is worse than the last. Most recently I was told by the print station clerk that I was "crazy" to think I could ask them to print 5 posters the same day and I'd have to figure out something else. I tried to explain I was simply going by their website which noted if I submitted before 2pm they would be ready the same day though all I got back from the clerk was a condescending rebuttal, including his repeated snarky remarks as he repeatedly cut me off, telling me "sir, sir, stop, just listen to me, I don't care what it says online, we don't have anything to do with online, we are too busy to print anything for you today, if you have the info on a USB drive you can come use the self-service printers", to which I asked if they would print posters and he said "no, you can only print flyers, I already told you we can't print any of your posters, we have nothing to do with the website and you'd be crazy to think we could print 5 posters (18"x24") in a day". I can live with his smug tone as he sounded like a young kid and obviously hasn't learned how to act like a mature adult yet, albeit we all know several "adults" that act like he did. Either way, his complete disregard for anything I was trying to say made me smirk as ultimately his actions would have absolutely no impact on me though would have a major impact on him and his current employer, Office Depot, who both must now deal with the negative impacts of his behaviors, which from the almost constant lack of customers in the store, the multiple Office Depot locations shutting down, and the other reviews with similarly poor experiences regarding Office Depot, doesn't seem to indicate a strong future for either of them, which is unfortunate as a little kindness can go a long way and costs nothing, though of course that requires rationale thought and common sense, neither of which seem to be readily accessible in this situation. So in the meantime, if you need custom printing, I would recommend going elsewhere, for example after hanging up with him I went online and place my order at the Walmart website which had everything ready for pickup within a few hours, no complications or clerks with poor attitudes that seem mission driven to do whatever they can to refuse your business. So with that said, thanks Walmart for coming through, I'll definitely be back, you came through when I needed you and while I can't say every time is a pleasant experience, I can say more often than not your employees treat me fairly and often go above and beyond to ensure I have what I need. Unfortunately that isn't the case for Office Depot - Coral Springs 2543, which I most certainly won't be returning to anytime soon,, as long as they continue to hire employees like the young man I just spoke to or those I came across while in the store the past few times, who acted as if they couldn't be bothered to help or when nothing I tried to purchase wrang up the right price they did nothing to make the situation right, I am confident that if this continues it won't be long before there is another store in the same location as Office Depot simply can't sustain a business by caring so little about the customers it needs to support them, especially in this day and age where everything is cheaper online or there's better experiences at other stores, who don't employee staff that simply don't care about what they do. You can do better...
Read moreI liked shopping at Office Depot. They have almost any office related items at a fair price. The company itself seems to be driven toward providing great services and products to its customers. This is the reason why I did most of my purchases at Office Depot when it came to office related Items. At that particular store, I spent a great deal on printers, inks, disk drives, laptops, and many more because I live 5 minutes away. From now on, I will not spend a dime at Office Depot and Office Max due to an incident that happened today. I got treated poorly by one of their employees. The experience was bad customer service at its worst. I am currently working on some projects for my business. Yesterday, I went there, and the same employee walked away and never came back while he was helping me. He seemed to be annoyed to be at his job. I could see that he just did not want to be there at all. After standing there for about an hour, a nice young lady then assisted me, and she was extremely kind and professional as all other Office Depot staff members. This morning, I called and sent in a print job to the store, because I wanted to see how my project looked before sending it out for mass production. I got there to pick up the documents and it was not done yet, I waited and waited till the printer got jammed. I was told to come back later at around 4pm. I went to work then went to a meeting that ended at around 7:30 pm. I managed to drive all the way from Miramar to Coral Springs fighting my way through traffic and managed to make it there at 8:45 pm, a few minutes before the store closed at 9pm. To my surprise, the work was never completed. By negligence, my project was left undone. I then asked for a single print. No assistance was provided and was left on my own to cut it, which ended in disaster. Why did they accept my order and did not perform? Why that guy got hired in the first place? Till the company make sure that this will not occur again, my dollars will go to their...
Read moreThis morning 8/24/23 I came in to pick up my order. Prior to going to the pick up order station I asked the rep if I can go on my own. She said yes. I had two different orders one with my company name and one with my personal name. I took both bags and continued to look to see if any other bag had my name since it was a fairly large school supply order. Rep then came to me and asked what I was doing and why I had 2 bags. I showed her both bags, in which had 2 diff names. I understand she had to question both names but she approached me in a manner as if I was trying to take items that did not belong to me. I didn’t have access to the email for the business on my phone but asked her to type in her computer the phone number and she can verify via rewards. Her response was we can’t do that. What?!?! I didn’t have my wallet I left in the car. She looked like she wanted to take one of the bags back STILL without checking my id. I asked her to verify the address on the business name which she didn’t so I told her the address and she confirmed but still wouldn’t release. I pulled up my ID on my phone and showed her my address and I STILL SAW HER hesitation. At this point I asked her if she thought I was trying to take something that wasn’t mine. There were .50 cent crayons and spiral notebooks like really?! Negative energy at 8:30 in the morning. You guys JUST opened. The level of common sense clearly doesn’t exist with this rep. This customer experience was truly a...
