I really honestly wanted people to know that W Salon and Spa has a true angel. Actually I’m sure most of the stylists here are. Let me explain. August 30th, my son was involved in a motorcycle accident with a vehicle who took him out on his bike at 30 mph. My son almost had his leg amputated. Through God’s will, Surgeons knowledge and lots of tlc. His leg was saved. He was on Trauma Unit and ICU for almost 2 1/2 weeks so you can imagine his beard had grown out along with his hair. Paul’s Hairstylist at W Salon and Spa is Sai. This angel was off today but took the time to come in because we’re back in town for his first check up with the surgeons. (My son, is staying out of town with us) I think that was extremely thoughtful and powerful statement to this company. Thank you for doing something you really didn’t have to do but I wanted you to know that it did not go unnoticed. Sincerely Nickie Paul’s Mom

I had an amazing experience at W Salon & Spa with Riley as my hairstylist. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming. She’s the kind of person you instantly feel comfortable around. She listened carefully to what I wanted, and then gave me realistic expectations about what could be achieved with my hair type. It’s so refreshing to find a stylist who’s upfront and doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear. One thing that impressed me was how transparent Riley was about the pricing. She broke everything down before we even got started, so there were no surprises at the end. The salon was spotless and the whole experience was so perfect. I left feeling like a new person and can't wait to go back.

I’ve gone to W Salon since it was Hair Benders in the early 2000s - and won’t go anywhere else for my cuts and color! Krista is the master of gorgeous balayage and is such a kind and fun person to spend 3+ hours with for a cut and color. My family also exclusively goes to Willi for the best massages. Location is conveniently right off the Sawgrass with ample parking. Expansive shampoo / conditioner / product collection at check out - where I go for my travel sized products. Easy booking process either over the phone or online with their new app process.

The salon itself is very spacious and beautifully decorated, and I so wanted to give a good review but I have to state the facts. I wanted a short texturized bob haircut with layers. About 2 months ago, Stylist #1 cut my hair and styled it beautifully. And it continued to look great until I washed it two days later and found out that it was not the actual cut that made it look nice, but all the styling and straightening. I returned and asked her to fix it, and her response was that the climate, the texture of my hair, and the lack of adequate styling effort on my part was the reason it did not look the way I wanted. I walked out and reached out to the manager, who very kindly set me up with another stylist, who is actually very experienced. This gentleman did cut my hair once, a few years ago, after someone else in the same salon had butchered it. That time, the cut was amazing and I loved it (I did return to him a few months after that, but did not get the same result). He does listen intently and educates you on what he is doing, which is great. And my hair did look beautiful when I left his chair this time. Then I washed it a couple of days later, and realized that nothing was fixed, it was only shorter. The top layers were way too short and very bulky, and the bottom front layers were way too texturized and looked stringy. My hair just did not have any 'flow'. The truth is simple: a well done haircut will fall into place after you towel dry it. Of course, spending more time on it will get you a more flawless look. But the point is that if it looks bad and keeps looking even worse as it grows, it is a poor haircut. Friends tell me to give it time to grow out, but why did I have to go to an expensive salon and spend a total of $82 hard earned dollars ($62 plus two $10 tips, one for each stylist) just to wait for a bad cut to grow out? I already had a bad haircut before I went there. Yesterday was seven weeks and I could no longer stand looking at it, so I stopped at a Great Clips salon in Parkland (Waterways Plaza) and had Julia fix it. She confirmed everything I knew and showed me why it was cut incorrectly, then she fixed it. Now it looks awesome. I so wanted to like Salon W and to have finally found a good stylist to go to on a permanent basis, but that did not happen. I would even embrace a haircut that looks different from what I wanted, as long as it is correctly done. I am giving Salon W an extra star because they made the effort to do the right thing, but in the end what matters to me is how my hair looks. I know that creative people have their 'off' days, but for the money I spent there, I was entitled to a great result. But they do have so many stylists there, that your experience may...

This is regarding the 1 star review left below by Tammie Olivera.

I typically do not respond to a negative review because I believe if you have a bad experience somewhere it is your right to speak of it. As a manager of a Salon/ Spa that sees an average of 200 guest a day , you cannot please everyone . This particular review below must have context .

This guest has come to our salon one time a year ago for a spa day. This is her only visit to our Salon. Two months ago Tammie emailed me to schedule the exact services again for her birthday. All services were booked a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure.

Unfortunately, our masseuse had a death in the family and must fly out of the country next week. I have no other masseuse currently or Tammie's massage would’ve been accommodated. I called Tammie and she opens up the phone call with “I am having the worst birthday month ever”. I knew right away telling her the massage has to be rescheduled will be problematic. I offered Tammie a discount on the massage for any other day she would like. Her facial and manicure/pedicure are totally fine for the same day. I also offered a free hair service to go along. As well as apoligizing multiple times. Tammie says she’s going to cry so she must call me back tomorrow. She repeated multiple times “I know this is not your fault”. Tammie followed with an email the next day. Requesting/demanding a discount on the manicure/pedicure. Cancel the facial and a free massage for a later date. I simply responded back that the manicure/pedicure that same day is good to go. But what I will do is offer you 20% off your facial or 20% off a massage for a later date. Please let me know which you would like to do.

Tammie followed up with an email to cancel all services.

I know canceling the massage portion of a full spa day is disappointing. However the death in someone’s family is out of anyone’s control. I just wanted to make light on the situation that Tammie's spa day was not canceled a week before strictly the massage. All other services were good to go and offered at a discounted rate or discount on a massage for a later date.

I am not sure where the staff came off as "stuck up" being Tammie has visited our salon only one time and rebooked for the same thing a year later. I do not understand how we were not accomadating after learning an employee had a death...

Jeff is the best!!! If you are going there and need a stylist, I would recommend Jeff highly. Jeff use to own his own salon-Hair Benders-but he decided to close it, when he heard that W Salon & Spa was opening a new state of the art salon in Coral Springs. He would then be able to concentrate on what he liked best-styling hair!! He was unable to do that with all of the stresses of running a highly successful, big salon on his own. We were sad to see Hair Benders close, but most of the stylists followed Jeff to W Salon & Spa, so it feels just like home! :) Jeff's specialties are color, up-do's for prom/weddings etc. and cuts. He also gives very good perms. I also see him setting older womens hair in curlers, and doing wonderful blow outs! If you want it done, Jeff has the skills to do it! I have four daughters, (from 14-23) plus myself. We all go to Jeff, and have never had anything less than a fantastic experience no matter what we have done to our hair!! Do not hesitate to go to him. He is actually the stylist who trains all of the new stylists who are coming out of school. He is that good, that he is the pick for the new stylists to shadow! I really shouldn't be leaving this review, because now it will be even harder to get an appointment with him, but I just can't help letting everyone know how skilled he is...
