We moved to Coral Springs a few years ago. Being new to the area we have had to find trusted people for goods and services; doctors, dentists, accountants, insurance, etc. When the holidays rolled around in 2019, I found myself not knowing a jeweler. I am not going to a mall store or a national chain (rip off cooker cutter jewelry). No thanks. I went in to Sziro in November 2019 and met Cheryl. I have come to find out Cheryl has worked at the store since it opened 20 years ago. Nobody stays with an employer that long unless the owners are solid, honest and good people. First good sign. I bought a few things for the kids at Christmas time. Very nice earrings, a watch and a bracelet. Good prices too. The store has an inventory you don't see at other jewelers. Really beautiful and unique items. In 2020, I then needed to have family pieces looked at and cleaned. I took in about a dozen items (engagement ring, wedding band, anniversary bands, diamond necklace, pearls, etc.-a lot of stuff). Most of these items sit in a safe deposit box. Some of the pieces are 40 years old or more. I met John, the owner. He looked at my items and gave me very candid and honest advice on storage. My pearls were beginning to turn color (poor storage). My diamond wedding band was cleaned and my engagement ring had a prong issue that, if not fixed, surely would have caused a lost diamond solitaire. I had a dozen items inspected, cleaned and repaired. And each one came out as good as new. John could not have been nicer or more concerned with my family pieces. Second good sign (this is a family run business that caters to the individual and their families). Now, in October 2021, and 6 months before my 30th wedding anniversary, I brought John and Cheryl my parents wedding bands, a beautiful white gold necklace and a yellow gold necklace and asked "can you make me two special anniversary bands (roman numbers with the wedding date encircling the entire band). When he told me yes and the price for both I was floored by the reasonable quote. I was expecting a much higher price. 2 weeks later John called me and told me the molds had been made "come by if you can and look at them to make sure you like it". I went by and the wax molds were amazing "how did they make that mold?" 2 weeks later I got a call from Cheryl "your rings are done"! I went by today and picked them up. Completely gobsmacked! The ring are custom made, white and yellow gold bands with our anniversary date in roman numerals. I am completely blown away by how nice they turned out, how professional and kind John and Cheryl were; not only in this transaction, but all of my experiences with them since we moved here. Candidly, I trust John and Cheryl and, in this business environment, where people don't show up for jobs, misquote prices, stall delivery, and basically lead you down a path of regret, Sziro is quote extraordinary. They have a customer base that is years in the making by treating people with kindness, respect and honesty. Great store, great people, great owners. I now have a trusted jeweler to reach out to for special events and holidays....

My first experience with Sziro’s was 6 years ago when I lost my wedding band and our previous family jeweler had retired. John was very patient showing us bands and could customize anything I wanted. I couldn’t have been happier with my selection. When my son came to me ready to propose to his gf, I knew John would take great care of him. I had inherited jewelry from my grandmother that I wanted to disassemble and use the stones for my future DIL’s ring. I took my son in to meet John and he helped us design a ring using my grandmothers stones and my son purchasing the center stone. The ring came out gorgeous and my DIL receives constant compliments. They returned to Sziros for their wedding bands as well, and John perfectly matched a band using more of our stones to go with the engagement ring so that it looks like it was set. I recently lost stones in my 25 yr old engagement ring. They were in an invisible setting and couldn’t be repaired. John advised me to pick out a new setting using my center stone. My husband picked up the ring and surprised me with Thanksgiving. It was absolutely beautiful but unfortunately it over powered my hand. Sadly It was too much ring for me. John was so accommodating allowing me to exchange it for another setting. I know it was a lot more work for him because my fingers are very small and the ring had to be disassembled. I am beyond happy with my new ring and he even took my remaining princess cut stones and created a small band for me. We highly refer our family friends to Sziro's and John. The selection, customer service, his meticulous craftsmanship will keep us coming back. Being family owned business in Coral Springs ourselves we like to support other family owned local businesses. I cannot say enough good things about my first experience with John at Sziro. I know he has a customer for life now. I had taken my sapphire engagement ring to another shop to have a custom wedding band made to match it. They also sized and dipped my engagement ring in Rose gold. Well, they kept my ring for over a month when a two week turnaround was promised. When I finally got it back within a few hours I noticed one of my stones was missing, it had fallen out since leaving the store. I was so upset. A friend recommended this shop and I brought it in and spoke with John, the owner. He is very honest and very fairly priced. He explained that my ring should never have been sized and I should have been warned it may loosen stones. He replaced the missing stone and even had to special order two smaller stones on the side of my ring that were fake…. I had no idea, the other shop said they were all real sapphires…. Also, my custom wedding band was NOT what I wanted or ordered. John was a hero and was able to coat it in black rhodium to get it to match my engagement ring a lot better! I was so stressed and upset after the worst experience at my first jewelry store encounter and John has made this entire process seamless. He is very quick to respond to messages, explained EVERYTHING to me, even if it wasn’t a positive thing… he was honest and that is what I needed. I wish I had come to him from the beginning. He even ordered extra of my stones so if it happens again, he already has them in house!...
