Pandemic fear is slowly fading away, we found this gem on our quest for a good place to eat. Location is great, plenty of onsite parking.
We were greeted properly and immediately shown to an outdoor table which we preferred. Awesome ambiance, nice peppy music keeps your feet tapping to the tunes. Really happy with the service, fast service too. Don't have to wait for long to dig in to your plate. Ok, now the food part.
We ordered, Banging shrimp, Shisito peppers, Veggie roll, Miso eggplant, Curry Ramen and Fried tofu.
Banging shrimp, as the name suggested we didn't see any shrimps banging (lol), Shrimp was fried perfectly and coated with spicy mayo sauce and garnished with scallions. We really enjoyed the presentation and the flavor. Ask for kimchi hot sauce for dipping., thank me later.
Shisito peppers was ok in my book. Normally they should be well blistered, but I found 20% of them were under "blistered" since no seasoning sprinkled on top, dipping into soy sauce or kimchi spice sauce gives your tongue a dance.
Miso Eggplant was our favorite. Perfectly flash fried and finished in miso glaze. nice presentation too. Just eat them as they are. We loved it.
Fried Tofu, Wow.. silky tofu quick fried and garnished with scallions, it melts in your mouth. Don't miss it., even tofu haters will like this. Goes excellent with all spicy or soy dipping sauces.
Veggie roll: Nothing to rave about., just a sushi roll with avocado and english cucumbers I believe. it was good and filling.
Golden Curry Ramen, we chose the vegetarian choice. Unfortunately this is nothing to rave about. The coconut milky broth was too thick and the Ramen noodles were clumpy. It had the flavors but didn't enjoy that as much as we enjoyed the other items.
We will certainly visit this place again to try other delicious items.
Conclusion: Great place for a friends and family meet up, fast service, friendly staff, felt comfortable with everyone wearing masks and keeping the safety as #1 priority. Food presentation is great, felt like I was in a fancier place at a bargain price. ...

I recently dined at Phat Boy and had the pleasure of being served by Jaime, who truly made my visit exceptional. From the moment we sat down, it was clear that Jaime was not only skilled at his job but also genuinely dedicated to making his guests feel welcomed and cared for.
First and foremost, Jaime’s kindness was immediately apparent. He greeted us with a warm smile, and his easygoing demeanor made us feel at ease right away. As we reviewed the menu, he was patient, answering our questions about the dishes with great knowledge and offering thoughtful recommendations without being pushy. It was clear he knew the menu inside and out, and his enthusiasm for the food made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
What stood out even more was Jaime's speed and efficiency. He was incredibly attentive, always checking in at the perfect moments without interrupting our conversation or making us feel rushed. Our drinks arrived quickly, and our food came out piping hot and exactly as ordered. There was never a delay, and everything was timed perfectly, allowing us to fully enjoy our meal without waiting around. It's a rare skill to be both quick and attentive, but Jaime managed to do it effortlessly.
Additionally, Jaime’s sense of humor added a delightful touch to the evening. He cracked a few jokes that kept us laughing, but it was never over the top—just the right amount of charm to make the meal feel relaxed and fun. His personality shone through, making us feel more like friends than customers.
Overall, my experience at Phat Boy was fantastic, and Jaime played a huge part in that. His excellent service, combined with his kindness, efficiency, and humor, made this visit one to remember. I’ll definitely be coming back, and next time, I’ll be sure to ask for Jaime again. If you're looking for top-notch service, I highly recommend requesting him—he will definitely make your dining...
Read morePhat Boy you gotta 10! I have been looking for a sushi restaurant in Coral Sping for a while and I have found it. This was my first time going to the Coral Springs location. Ambience: The lights are low and they play easy techno that makes it a great environment for friends and families to hangout. Chice of seating: Outdoor, indoor,, and bar. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I like the fact that the outdoor seating is on the side of the building therefore people aren't walking by or standing around you. We all know people past by air is not always pleasant..lol. Indoor you have the choice of booths and high top. Yes the booths are handicapp and plus size friendly. Bar seating is available at the bar and the Hightower. Bathooms: To be so busy they were clean and stocked. Staff: Our waitress was nice. Told us about the favorites and was patient with us ordering. Menu: The thing I love most about the menu is that it explains what in every dish. If you have someone in your party that's picky or has allergies they can see what's in the dish. There menu is very easy to follow. If you like Asian and Asian inspired food you will enjoy. They have appetizers, rice dishes, sushi, tempura, sushimi, all types of rolls, pho or soup, wine beer, IPA, Sake and more. We were a party of four. We had: Tempura veggies, 2 Cali rolls, spider rolls, noodles, coconut curry noodles, 2 short ribs, fried rice, white rice, green tea shots(their $12 bucks each but really good) 2 carfes of Sake. For a party of 4 our total was $150. They are open until 12am. Just that alone is Amazing in Coral Springs. They do have peak hours with long wait times but you can always call to check on availability and wait times. We have made this our new weekend go to for lunch and dinner. Will update with pictures soon. Try it out. You will be happy you...
