My wife & I stayed at La Quinta Coral Springs last week using Expedia. We chose a Queen bed room, (Room532) but the entire unit had plumbing issues. The toilet didnāt drain, the sink didnāt drain, & the shower didnāt drain. The TV had its LCD broken & the rooms carpet was so dirty it gave my son red hives in his legs & feet. We called Expedia to complain & They called the hotel, it prompted them to assign the building maintenance guy to our unit who came in the room with a very big frown on his face, was very unprofessional & lethargically says ā i got the drains unclogged you should be good now, and the tv will be replaced with a new oneā. That was on day 1. Day 2, no tv was ever replaced & to top it off the manager David told Expedia no such plumbing issues existed but I have several videos I took of the plumbing issues & the broken tv and sent it to Expedia, he also told them he changed my room to a ābetter suiteā yet that was another lie as I was never even offered this. Expedia said the hotel denied any sort of reimbursement on Davidās behalf, but they did however (Expedia) provide a voucher for a comp extension with a different room so we extended another 2 days with La Quinta. On reservation #2, in a different room (Room519) from Expedia it was for another Queen bed, but hotel gives me a twin bed room instead, the night agent said that the hotel didnt have any room with queen beds ever (lie), we come in our new room, turn on the lights, put the twin beds closer to one another (because we had a small child with us for safety reasons) & noticed the electric socket behind the bed had a short circuit (also video footage with my phone) everytime we would plug in a device, electric sparks would shutter rapidly & the lamps would turn off n on smelling like burning from the socket so we unplugged the lamps from there for safety reasons. We again called Expedia bcuz we were told Manager David was not avail. Expedia informed us they would file a formal complaint again with hotel manager David as they put me on hold, they get a front desk agent whom calls the manager David at his cellphone informing him that Expedia is claiming a guest in room 519 has no power whatsoever in the unit (we never said that) & we then learn that David leaves his house & drives to the hotel per sequence of events & goes in our unit while we went out to dinner and proceeds to turn on every single lamp, AC, Tv, bathroom, my computer , and leaves the balcony door open. This was very condescending and aggressive behavior toward us by leaving proof that he was in our unit & all power was working, in the process he saw our beds moved closer together & went into wifes personal belongings claiming my wife had ādamaged a small hotel face towel with her black hair dyeā & also claimed we unplugged the faulty lamp by the bed to Expedia & all Hotel staff alerting them when we got back to hotel to inform him immediately. The next day we get a call from Expedia indicating they are going to move us to diff rooms, & extend us yet again bcuz the hotel once again was denying any sort of reimbursement or change of rooms (this is all coming from Expedia) my wife goes downstairs to the hotel bfast & is told by a front desk agent that David wants to see her, her then proceeds to YELL at my wife that he has canceled all our bookings because we āmade him come to the hotel & leave his family to check our power that was fully workingā he confirms he left all the lights on purpose and began to incriminate us saying we ādamaged his room by putting two MOVING beds together & stained a small towel and wants us out the hotel immediatelyā this was extremely aggressive behavior from a hospitality manager that made my wife extremely scared, overwhelmed, and embarrassed. She told me what happen, told me he was mocking and belittling her so I came down and addressed David, he confirmed he wanted us out for wasting his time for a ānon issueā. We left in the middle of our reservation with our child & are seeking legal counsel for harassment /emotional distress to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI pride myself on only posting positive reviews because there are people who like to complain and I give them the platform to do their complaining. For me, I like to tell people what went right about someplace.
My room was clean, quiet. There was 30 minutes of what sounded like installing carpet or drilling above me. I call the front desk and Lynch, your best employee explain to me that it would only last about 30 or 45 minutes. He was right.
When I arrived, I thought there would be help for me because I was using my walker, unable to walk, because I was on life support last year, so this was a new venture for me but I was surprised to find out that there wasn't any help with my bags. I didn't have luggage or have you suitcase just bags but there wasn't help to get me to my room. Fortunately, the girl who dropped me off stayed long enough to make sure there was help and she carried the bags for me. Lynch was wonderful to give me a room by the breakfast area, which is self-serve.
At breakfast the next morning, there wasn't anyone to help me prepare my plate or carry it to my table. This was difficult for me and there wasn't any staff or even other visitors that offered to help so I left my food on the counter and went to my room without breakfast.
When I got time to check out, I usually ask for late check out, but I didn't want to rock the boat at this location so I went to the front desk to look if there was someone there to help me, though I wasn't expecting staff. There was a kind gentleman, in his 40s, a black man who look like he work there but I wasn't sure. I asked if he did and he said yes, what could I do to help you. I said just hold my hand. He held my hand and walk with me back to my room which was the first room next to the front desk. I told him we would not tell his wife that he held my hand hahaha I inserted a joke. I picked up my bags and he held my hand while we walk to the front. I made it clear that I didn't want him to pick up anything and hurt himself since the hotel did not allow staff to help with luggage. I wish I knew his name. He was wonderful. You surely will know who he is. I checked out on Sept 1 approx 11:10am.
Please commend this man and Lynch and thank you for taking the time to read my review. I do try to make them positive.
My note for the hotel is to make it very clear that this hotel may not be disabled friendly and that there isn't help from the front desk...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to start TO SAY I NEVER LEAVE BAD REVIEWS UNTIL NOW where the pictures shown are not true to what it looks like. Second, I did my check-in at 9:30 pm on friday the hallways carpets smell, reached to my room the room was ok it had a musty smell, when I went to shower no Hot Water it was luke warm water, I went to reception lady to give my complaint her response was is a older building and they were busy so the water heaters don't work properly, that she was going to send maintenance the next morning to look into it, I reply I pay for 2 nights to stay here expecting to have hot water and be decent hotel, the owner to this hotel need to do BETTER WITH HIS PROPERTY MAKING SURE HIS HOTEL IS IN GOOD STANDERS AND UPGRADE IT. The next morning, take a shower with cold water again come back samething that's not acceptable, I went to complain not even I will give you a discount nothing the manager went to my room to make sure I wasn't running the cold water, says I don't know why only your room because no one has complaint about it, she says but your right you don't have hot water let me get maintenance guy come and check, he comes samething his like you have to let it run and it eventually get hot, he says this always been a problem here and guest to complain. I was frustrated it with this whole situation. Lastly, I went to the housekeeping lady to ask for more towels as there were only 2 big ones and it was 3 of us in the room, she tells me give the dirty ones back and I will give you 2 big ones and the hand towels I said mam is 3 of us in a room we have to share towels she Addement about give me 3 towels there the manager walked to the hallway and said give her the towels she needs. IS A SHAME BECAUSE THIS HOTEL IS IN A GOOD AREA WHERE IT SHOULD AT LEAST BE UP TO PAR WITH EVERYTHING, NEVER AGAIN I WILL STAT HERE. WHO EVER IS GOING TO THIS HOTEL I RECOMMEND TO LOOK...
