Worst pharmacy ever! The pharmacist routinely interrupts you, cuts you off, even hangs up on you when calling for help. I had an issue where I refilled a prescription online-I had 1 refill left. When I got to the store it they said I had no refills. Computer glitch? No worries. I called my Dr but she couldn’t send refills because it showed I still had a refill at the pharmacy. It turned into a nightmare. The pharmacist wouldn’t listen, cut me off when I was explaining, told me to call my doctor, hung up on me after saying “I already talked to you today!” Without even listening to why I called. After Over a month of back and forth I had the idea to call another Walgreens. Their pharmacist said that the bethel church Walgreens didn’t have enough of the medication when they filled it, so they had done a partial refill. But somehow they zeroed it out of the system. My refill was still in the “bin” at bethel church. I called bethel church Walgreens back and they were adamant that it wasn’t true. Over a month later I finally got a new prescription from my doctor (who said all she needed all along was for the pharmacist to let her know there was a computer error but the pharmacist never contacted my doctor despite a month of back and forth where I told her exactly what needed to be said and she said she called my doctor. My doctor says she didn’t. Then I finally go pick up my prescription and I got a partial refill. No one told me it was only about half my medication when I bought it but if you pay for a partial, insurance won’t cover again until next month. But wait… She said that I didn’t have a partial refill just sitting there… how much do you want to bet that the meds I got were the ones she said weren’t sitting there all along! She is an unprofessional, rude liar who is bad at her job. Beware before going here!!! Picture below shows the refill- it was supposed to...
Read moreI moved my prescriptions away from Walgreens a good while back due to the constant frustration associated with getting them filled. A family member still uses Walgreens. Their most recent prescription, after multiple phone calls, delays, frustration, etc. was finally ready. This is an accurate description of just about every time! This particular time, she called the doctor's office and told them about the delay and Walgreens telling her it could not be filled on time (inventory was NOT the problem). After a bunch of frustration, phone calls and hassle had seemed to clear the air, I went by to pick up their prescription for her. Mind you, Walgreens did not lift a finger to do any thing. The person at the Pharmacy drive thru proceeded to give me a lecture on how my daughter needed to get the prescription filled out properly in the first place as there was a mistake on it. To which I responded that in all of my years of getting prescriptions, I do not even recall actually seeing a prescription as ALL doctors have the prescription sent straight to the drug store. And further that I disagreed with her and that it was not the patient's responsibility to tell the Dr that the patient must review the prescription first for errors!? And just how a patient is supposed to know if there is an error?? Walgreens has very apparently decided to shift resolution of questions on prescriptions directly to the patient and not lift a finger to help the situation. And here all this time I thought pharmacies actually talked to doctor offices if there was a question on a prescription!? I can assure you, per the Walgreens' employee in the Pharmacy drive thru, Walgreens is not going to lift a finger to do anything, even though patients never lay eyes on prescriptions...
Read moreUpon entering the W Catawba Walgreens I’m continually welcomed warmly with a “welcome to Walgreens” and a smile - today I wanted to especially honor pharmacist Ramona, who just exhibits such great CARE for her clients/patients even in the busy cold and holiday season. I always appreciate her acknowledgment of our family and detailed explanation of meds, or this year, an inhaler for the first time for our son. She even took out the full contraption to SHOW us how it works. Greatly appreciate that for my joggled, tired, mom-brain. The photo counter team is also always so kind and even noticed an error on the printer run in my 2nd batch of Christmas cards two weeks ago and either offered those to me at a discount, or assured me the “broken part” was on the way and a better run was within days of receipt. I chose the later and am just thankful for that level of CARE the full Walgreens team has for our family. I also recently appreciated the ability to send wine.com deliveries to my local Walgreens for pick up ease, so a partnership like that, is just another fantastic offer from our Walgreens proving it’s a pillar in our local community. Thanks guys!! Happy...
