EDIT: 09/21/2020 Changed my review from 5 stars to 2 stars, left my previous review below the line.
I maintain my review about the great views and maintenance staff, almost immediate service. But god forbid you need actual help from management on a more serious issue. This area is becoming crime central. I have an outside storage area that is in the hallway. It has been broken into twice in the past month. Called management and they say, " Well we recommend only storing Christmas decorations and things like that out there." Is that the type of response you want? Also on the 2nd time, police investigated and noted all storage units on my floor besides 2 were broken into. When I notified management about this was, "Well those individuals need to report that their unit was broken into so we can do something" I replied, "Well they probably don't know about it." To which they replied, "Well I guess we can have maintenance look into it. " These are not the type of response I would hope for. When I asked to speak to the head manager last Thursday, I still have yet to receive any word from them. Come November I will more than likely not be renewing my lease. Smoking constantly, security not enforcing curfew on the pool area. People out there till midnight. The security here is a real joke.
Also, when I talked to the cop, he informed me he gets called here all the time for property issues, break ins in storage units, licenses plates being stolen, etc. And the locks on the storage units, by the way, are the same ones on your front doors! So if they can get into those, they can get into your home.
EDIT 12/2019: Just Renewed for another year! I'm telling you, this is one of the best places to live in the inland empire. Cheaper than downtown Riverside and only a short drive away, (Or train ride, train is like right here).
Original Review 10/2019 I have lived in the Metro at Main Apartments for 1 year now come November. This is my Third year living with the same management company, Originally I lived at one11 which is right next door.
The management company and apartment complexes (surrounding area) are kept in great shape. Clean environment. No trash. Safe area with a lot of foot traffic to the shops and surrounding area.
The apartments are your standard size luxury apartments with great stainless steal appliances and wood floors. They do have an excellent maintenance staff and even an evening, night maintenance man so someone is always here. When we needed a fix for our electrical outlet, they were there same day, almost in the same hour to fix it.
For the parking issues, there hasn't been any except 1 for the entire time I have lived here. It is assigned parking and someone had parked in one of my spots, well I gave them a few hours and then called about it. It was dealt with right away.
It is a smoke free community so if you smoke, you will get caught, and they will evict. That is, if you smoke in your apartment or balcony. But they tell you this upfront so it is no surprise. They do let people smoke on the premise like outside the shops or in the alley way. Just not near the residences, which I feel isn't asking to much considering.
Surrounding area, very gorgeous views, safe, and plenty of places to eat. Pizza, Poki, Kicking Crab, Starbucks are all under or in the same lot as the apartments.
The gym is really nice and not crowded at all. So is the sky deck. It can be reserved and there has been a few times where I wanted to go out there and relax but sadly it was reserved for a wedding party or even a baby shower. But out of an entire year and there was only twice where I wanted to go and it was prebooked, that is pretty fantastic. They also have other areas to BBQ or hangout as well, including a lounge inside and an...
Read moreMETRO AT MAIN IS HORRIBLE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!
My husband just got out of the Marine Corps and I work for the California Institution. We elected to move into the Metro Main complex, because we were told âit was a very secure and safe complexâ along with the convenience of location, which is close to my job. I have been trying to contact the corporate office since January, I have called countless times and left multiple voicemails, but just heard back March 6th. I have also emailed numerous times and to date and rarely get a response to my emails.
My husband and I have had a horrible experience. Our storage unit was broken into and due to some of my property being found throughout the complex and also some of my property being returned to the hallway next to my unit, it appears that the thief or thieves have been back to the unit. Not only do these thieves have access to all of our personal information, from the items stolen, but I fear they will come back because they stole some of our ammunition and fear they will break into our unit next, since they know where we live. We have also seen our neighborâs storage broken into and have seen cars parked right by ours, which had their rims stolen, these are incidents just in the three months we have lived here. The thieves have returned once to my storage and Iâm sure they will do it again and we do not want to be living in such an unsafe place.
Prior to being broken into I filed a report to notify staff that the lock on my storage door was loose/wobbly and it didnât feel secure. I was told by staff they checked and they reassured me it was secure and closed out my maintenance request. After the break in of my own storage and the one next to mine, I posted the incident on the complex app, my post was intended to warn others tenants about the multiple break ins. Unfortunately I had every single one of my posts deleted. Although the post said nothing negative about the complex or staff, it was intended to be just a heads up to be alert of surroundings and strange people, yet every time it was deleted.(I will continue to try to warn my fellow residents of danger.) I feel the excessive negligence concerning tenant safety in the complex is absolutely ridiculous!!
I addition, on Monday 2/25/19, I was notified that âI must register all of my vehicles to avoid having them towedâ. I was told that now, âsince my husband and I have two vehicles and a motorcycle, we would now have to pay an additional $100 a monthâ Due to this additional charge, I was prompted to go to the office to speak to someone about this charge. On top of my safety concerns and having staff basically lie to our faces. Prior to moving here, we had been told very specifically, that all of the parking before the gate, was free and on a first come first serve basis. Since we have multiple vehicles and we did not want to pay to extra to park, we made sure to ask countless times about the parking situation, prior to moving.
We have fear for our safety and feel that we have been lied to over and over, like being told there are cameras "all of the facility" only to later be told that âthey are only in the common roomsâ. If they were to review any of my phone recordings, you can hear how many times it was confirmed that âthere were cameras all over the facilityâ and that parking was at no extra cost on a first come first serve basis and was reassured by staff there was nothing for me to worry about. Prior to us moving I called to address my concerns regarding parking since I had seen many complaints and bad reviews and was advised by staff that they "got a new company to do 24-hoursurveillance and shouldn't have anything to worry about, because there were plenty of vehicles nicer than ours in the complexâ. They are insanely rude and could care less about resident safety, day after day people are being broken into....
Read moreI have lived in 3 apartment complexes and this has been the worse. I do want to start with the good. I loved the location and layout of my apartment. The convenience of the stores downstairs is so great. And the layout of the apartment made it feel like a home. I loved the theme of the complex too, I felt it was cool and has a lot of potential. Also staff at the two front desks were always nice to me and we had good rapport. However that is were it ends. I was paying 2,450 a month (before utilities) for a one bedroom. Yes my apartment was located near the front and they will try to say itâs a benefit, however that was NOT a plus. Cops are there almost everyday, sirens every hour, at night, fire alarms go off at least once a month which hurt the ears of my dog, there were multiple instances of homeless people on the premises at night because the security here is a joke. One time there was a homeless man with a knife, another time they peed in our hallway and the front office never addressed it. There is always at least one door that doesnât lock properly that allows anyone to access the hallways of this building. Iâve had my car broken into and STOLEN OFF MY PARKING SPOT. I asked for the security camera footage 4 WEEKS AGO AND THEY STILL HAVENâT GOTTEN BACK TO ME (even though I went to talk to them twice in person and left a voicemail). Also fun fact the car parking lot only has one camera to see who goes in and out. When I try to call security when the front office is closed Iâm put on voicemail, and the people here who have dogs let their dogs pee in the hallway and do not clean up after them. Also once a week you will get a vague email from management threatening residents to comply with policies instead of addressing the issues. And they had the audacity to ask me to pay rent 2,580 after a year of living here. Which is ridiculous because when my washer was broken it took them two weeks to get to it after being on the phone with them 3 times begging to get it fixed. Iâm going to bet at the bottom of this review is an automated response âIâm sorry you didnât like it hereâ because management really doesnât care about you unless you miss a payment (which I never did miss a payment which explains why they ignored me because theyâre too busy with their bottom line). Unless management changes DO NOT MOVE HERE. I would even warn satan before he signs the lease. EDIT: As you can see they responded but if they really cared about what happened they would reach out to me not have me reach out to them. This is what you get folks for over...
