PLEASE READ We brought in our 2016 Volkswagen to get an oil change for a whopping $85 at Blains Farm and Fleet located at 1300 Dekalb Avenue in Sycamore Illinois. 3 weeks later, the oil light came on on the car’s dash and we noticed oil had been leaking all over our driveway. In the meantime, i had to top up the oil with my own supply. We called Blains in Sycamore the next morning and they said to bring it in right away. When arriving, we met with someone named Kim who turned us away and said we had to come in the day after. On the way back home, the oil light came on again. We called again to see why there was miscommunication and they said it was unacceptable for Kim to turn us away. We went to a local shop to see if damage was done to the car and they said luckily it seemed okay but the auto employees used the wrong washer for the oil drain plug. I called again and spoke to Matt, apparent manager, who said he would have to order the part (if i didn’t call it would have been another wasted trip and oil). He also stated he would be there right at 2 pm for our appointment to reimburse us. At 2pm for the appointment, Matt decided to take a break right as i told him we would come in and we ended up waiting almost an hour longer than necessary which ended up cutting into my work shift. When asking Kim about Matt’s whereabouts to begin with, she was extremely ignorant and was giving dirty looks while also rolling her eyes at what employees were trying to teach her. Not sure why she even works there. We overall wasted 5 hours of our own time dealing with this issue because of the auto centers negligence. Also, we were contacted by someone higher up named Mike Seyller in which i gave him plenty of times/options to reach out to me and he never ended up following through with it. Overall, the staff and service here was nothing short of atrocious and i would never recommend going to blains. They only care about your money and don’t care if they do anything...

Holy crap, where to start.
Background: I had 3 tires on rim, that a guy wanted to buy off me, and mount on his car. So, they would have to remove them from my rims, remove his old tires, and then mount the tires from my rims. This should take maybe 30-45 minutes, at the most.
So, we show up walk up to the service counter in the back, we are ignored for about 5-10 minutes. Finally, millennial (A), greets us, and we explain to him what we need done. He is confused, and then runs off to talk to a tech. Comes back everything seems ok. About 15-20 minutes later, millennial (A) says that the tech. refuses to do it because the tires are currently to "Big" for the car. To which we reply, we know, the tires we are putting on, are the correct size. Millennial (A) says the Tech. will talk to us in a minute.
10 Minutes later, pro tech comes over, and asks what we need done..., he then acts like he will do the job, tells Millennial (A) to write us up. Millennial (A), walks to the tire desk, and starts asking information, and acts like they don't know if they can do the job!!!. At this point, we start getting a bit upset, and then BIG BOY Pat comes over, I think he was like a higher up desk guy.
Pat, starts writing is up and everything is fine. Then he starts acting like it can't be done tonight, but he's not sure. Then he gives us the price, and then HOLD ON, the price has now increased by 40% each tire, because there low profiles. Which wasn't stated by an employee on the phone, when we called ahead. I asked Pat, to please give us a discount, due to the bad experience, of which he refused completely. Which makes no sense to me, as some profit is better then no profit & not to mention keeping a customer happy.
At this point, defeated, we left.
Long story short, I will never go back,...
Read moreThis is a place that I have started to come to because the city I used to live in the work was great and I had used them for many of my auto needs, this particular one every time I come in for something simple for my cars no matter which car it starts doing something it never done before and it is always something very close to where they was working, so now I’m here today and they was to just check the clips on my front brakes , because of they had the clip rubbing the back of the rim, I got car back and as I drove off the wheel and steering wheel vibrates back and forth like the is about to fall off so I drove back up here so the can check the lugs to make sure the wheel was on properly and tech (more experienced) who did the Check in the first place comes with a torque wrench and goes to my car and torque a couple of lugs on each side while the tire was still rested on the ground so if the tire is loose how in the world what he did would ever fix that looseness of the tire and lugs. Now I’m here waiting on the manager to come back from the lunch to see what he could do about this. Overall this is not the first experience in the last 4 visits with 2 different cars. And have had to come back every single time including oil change had get them to pay for the detail job I had to get from them putting oil over the tan seat door and ceiling which cost me about $60 . Over all I wouldn’t trust them to change a valve ste. If you like playing craps or gamble the go ahead and...
