Would NOT Recommend!

I took a vehicle to Nick's for a pre-purchase inspection based on a friend's recommendation, and it turned out to be a huge mistake. I was quoted $50 for the inspection but ended up being charged $150—with no explanation for the price increase.

Their report was extremely minimal. The only issue they pointed out was that the differentials looked like they’d never been serviced and needed attention—something they said would cost less than $200 to fix. Based on their assessment, I purchased the vehicle.

Later, I took the car to a different mechanic to get the recommended differential service done. To my shock, they said the differentials were in great shape and didn’t need any work at all. Instead, they found that the catalytic converter was the real issue—a $1000 repair! They also uncovered several other problems that required immediate attention.

If Nick’s had done a thorough inspection and actually pointed out these critical issues, I never would have bought the car. Their oversight cost me significantly, and I feel completely misled. Save yourself the headache—look elsewhere for honest and...

My son is a student at OSU, and I live in California, so auto repairs are always a pain to handle remotely. My son drives a 2017 Jeep Wrangler sport and the electrical started acting really weird. He took it to Nick's Auto Repair and they diagnosed a whole bunch of electrical damage due to rodents getting inside the engine and chewing the wires. Repairing this is a nasty job since it's hard to tell when you have found all the damage and fixed everything. Nick Rose was awesome, he took my son's car and did a thorough evaluation, identified all the cables that needed replacing, ordered them, and fixed them expertly. Nick was very responsive via emial and was able to provide me with a very detailed report describing the damage, what needed to be replaced, etc. This was absolutely necessary for my insurance company, Allstate. I don't think I've ever written a review before but Nick's deserves this and more! I have an ancient truck that will not stop breaking and Nick's has 100% stuck with me through the nightmare that's been the past few months. After waiting months for a non-communicative manufacturer to ship new brake lines, only for them to not fit, Nick's ended up going to great lengths to custom-make brake lines for me so that I could have my vehicle in time to get to my summer job across the state. They even comped the price by returning the old ones. Matt was on top of it when other parts got lost in shipping, getting the replacements expedited.
