Laughing Planet — Restaurant in Corvallis

Pros: Great variety of food, visually pleasing décor, wonderful service Cons: Finding parking at certain hours

Bottom Line: I came to location twice for dinner with my parents when they came to visit me. We absolutely love this place. My dad is a vegan and he loved the variety they had on the menu. My mother loved the décor along with the drinks. I as very picky eater loved the food and everything else this restaurant had to offer. The toys (dinosaurs,ponys) that they place around the restaurant also make it very welcoming for children. Some problems I encounter was that they run out of some ingredient for drinks, food, and desserts towards the end of the night. However, this only happened once and pretty sure happens rarely. Overall I love this restaurant and would bring my family every time they come visit me and want to have dinner.

Atmosphere: The atmosphere is very pleasing. A good place to eat, discuss, and overall socialize. The pictures and toys make it very pleasing to the eye to look around. The staff is very kind and also make it very welcoming. The music is also very relaxing and fits the atmosphere and theme of the restaurant.

Location: It is a very great location in downtown Corvallis. If you are not feeling to eat inside you can easy go eat close to the river which is a nice scenery. My only complaint is finding parking for this restaurant. This is not so much a problem for the restaurant, it’s more so Corvallis. My recommendation for this is find parking earlier before the prime time for the meals of the day hits. It is also close to many other stores which makes it a great place to eat after a long day of browsing through stores in Corvallis.

Service: The staff is very kind and have smiles on their faces each time I went. This was very welcoming and kind of them. They also gladly answer any questions you have about the food on the menu. They also cater to any of your needs on your food. Meaning they will take out ingredient such as tomato or anything else you if you are a picky eater. The time they took to make my food and get it to my table was about average fifteen to twenty minutes. This is not a bad wait time as during this time I was able to catch up with my parents and look at the awesome pictures they had around the restaurant.

Food: I had both the Grilled Chicken and Buba Burrito. They both were very delicious burritos and would eat them again. Very creative food overall and I willing to try other things on the menu. My father did have one complaint and that was the portion size. He ordered the quesadilla which turned out to be too small for him. I did not mind the size of the burritos and easily got full off of one.

Cost: I would say the cost is overall worth it. Every single ingredient is made from non-gmo which is very difficult to come by now these days. The service is very excellent and well worth the money to spend food here. The food is also very delicious and much better than any other...

I love this place! The food is always good and has tons of flavor. However I gave it two stars because the last two times I have ordered through DoorDash laughing planet have forgotten part of my order to give to the DoorDash. DoorDash won't open the bags to check the order because it's already stapled. I called today and spoke to the manager and explain to him that I've placed my orders and this is a second time they have forgotten part of it! His response was accidents happen. I explained to him yes I understand that and you can be very busy, but it shouldn't happen more than once and I am paying a $7 tip for my order to get right. Now the DoorDash person has to come back to get the remaining part of my order that I paid for and I'm going to tip them again because they're going out of their way. I said you could at least make it right by either putting a coupon in the bag with the remaining order or giving me something free to make it up.He was reluctant & didn't seem happy aboyt it! Ge added a free entree coupon. I had to pay an additional $7 tip just to get a small bag of chips & guac.

My advice Laughing Planet do better on the customer...

Update: came back a week later and ordered the same two entrees. Sadly, they were not prepared to the same standard. Both were only ~2/3 the size compared to last time - not “huge” or generously filled as last week. The tofu and tempeh seemed old/cold, and one of us found a small blond hair mixed in, ick. I guess it’s a matter of who’s working in the kitchen, but sad to discover that the quality varies so much depending on when you visit.

Friendly service and delicious food!!! The bowls are huge, filling, healthy, and a fair price. You really can’t go wrong with the rotating weekly special - today the Santa Fe bowl with tempeh was perfect! We LOVE that they’re so veg/vegan friendly, and you can sub vegan cheese, sour cream, etc for no extra charge. Honestly, a local gem, and much improved since our last visit a couple of years ago. Take-out only at the moment, but they’ve got a couple of outdoor tables available. FOH employee was kind and helpful, and the kitchen was 100% on point. So happy and impressed with our meal — I can’t wait...
