I visited this store multiple times when I lived In Corvallis for several years. They have tons of neat stuff! However, I went to this charming store a few years ago with my sister who suffers from an autoimmune disease that makes her sensitive to sunlight and makes her skin thin and prone to infection. She has flare-ups that force her to cover up when it’s sunny and her skin tends to have a lot of open wounds that are painful and it gives her extremely low self-esteem. I guess the shop keeper profiled her as a junkie and proceeded to follow her around the store and was extremely rude. We left and my sister spent the rest of the day crying. We visited Corvallis over the weekend and my sister is still traumatized to this day but never wanted to speak out about it. I hope to spread awareness about people who suffer from debilitating disease and are judged based on their appearance. Please be better and treat them with dignity...
