i hit a one star but actually needed a zero. my husband and i took a set of antique bells on a strap here to be fixed on a better piece of leather. we want to always shop and support local so here we went. he had our bells for over a year. called many times to check on them. same excuses. finally we said after much patience with him having our 400 dollar antique bells called and said we will be up for the roscoe apple butter festival. we expect them to be ready to pick up. he assured us he would have them ready. he also said which i thought to be very rude and unprofessional. you’ll have to excuse me. i am slow and brain dead😳 we went to his shop. he pulled out a set that wasn’t even ours. had to go look for ours which was shoved amongst a pile of stuff in the same basket he originally put them in. i asked him what he does all day. he said he generally just chats. i asked him what he thought roscoe association would think about him treating his customers this way. no response. again with the slow and brain dead statement. i told him about shopping locally but now we will be going to the amish. he said good luck with that. i said we hire amish for a lot of things and they always shine. so my advise is never ever take anything there to be fixed or worked on. my review? ...
Read moreVery disappointed in Dennis! I took in a string of bell over a year ago to have bells put on a new strap of leather and Dennis said that would be no problem at all. I gave him a couple of months and heard nothing from him so I gave him a call and he said that he would get right on them. Waited a couple more months and gave him another call and he said he would get right on them. So… I waited a couple more months and called again and the same response but he said he was going on vacation and he would get right on them when he came home. So…. waited 2 more months and guess what? Same response!!! He said I’m old and a little brain dead sometimes. My wife and I stopped in the shop during Apple Stirrin festival and he handed me someone else bells and I told him that those aren’t mine. He went and found my bells in a basket that he had put them in over a year ago. He said I will ship them to you when they are done. My wife told him how disappointed in him we were and that we wanted to shop local and we would be taking our bells elsewhere and he just laughed and said good luck with that! I purchased two belts three years ago, one of which, had to be custom made to fit a silver buckle I had acquired. I received it in the mail one week later. Both were dark brown with the same design. I have regretted not haven purchased a black one also. So today I returned for my black belt. I also brought the two brown belts two have them shortened and adjust the holes. They not only adjusted the two brown belts, but reconditioned them like new. They then cut the black one to size and holes for the proper length.
