I visited Diptyque after being introduced to the brand by my friend who gifted me their shower oil Do Son scent. I fell in love with the scent and wanted the perfume. Saw online that they sold a duo perfume & hair mist set and quickly purchased it and chose to have myself pick it up. For some reason the order to the store didn’t go through & was cancelled. Wasn’t too much of a big deal for me so I just ended up going to the store to just purchase it directly there.
When I turned the corner I could spot the Diptyque store right away. Their window display had what looked like rows and rows of warmly lit candles from floor to ceiling. The store exuded warmth, luxury, and alluring scents. Now I’ve had experiences in the past where sales associates have completely ignored me. Probably because I’m not dressed in designer clothing nor look that glammed up. Whatever the case may be, I’m always a little apprehensive about walking into expensive/luxury stores. And I’ll admit, the past Yelp reviews I read about this Diptyque’s location, specifically their customer service, had me a tad bit worried. Fortunately, as soon as I stepped in I was immediately & warmly greeted by Tina. She asked if there was anything I was looking for. Told her exactly what I was there for and she helped locate the item and put it aside for me. Since I was in the store, I couldn’t help but wander and peruse through all their displayed items. Tina was happy to introduce me to all their different fragrances and asked what scents I’m usually into. At no time did I ever feel Tina was rushing me. She was more than happy to answer any questions I had. There was even a moment where new customers entered the store and I couldn’t help but feel like I was taking too much of Tina’s time. Tina let me take as much time and space to explore the store. After tending to other customers, Tina made sure to check in on me and let me know to take my time. Granted, the store itself isn’t that big, but for some reason I lost track of time and spent who knows how long there. By the end of my exploration of the store I ended up with a holiday limited edition candles w/ carousel set for my friend (the same friend who introduced me to Diptyque) along with the set I originally came in for, and an amazing friend, yes, Tina from Diptyque and I are friends now. She is truly an amazing individual. I don’t know why (probably because Tina was so easy to talk to), but during our convo I felt inclined to share with Tina that my mom unexpectedly passed away last December and how her kindness meant a lot to me during this time, especially the holidays. I couldn’t help but tear up a little. Tina gently asked if it’d be okay for her to give me a hug. I nodded yes and she gave me a heartfelt hug and shared with me how she lost her father not too long ago.
When she rang my items up she included a travel size Do Son spray and a mini Baies scented candle. Right before I was about to step out the store, Tina tells me to light the candle in remembrance of my mom.

Read moreStopped by today with the intention of browsing to find my next scent. Hit it off with Rogelio, who was phenomenal and let me try everything under the sun. He was so patient as he explained all the notes and was super knowledgable and fun to talk to. Made me feel so comfortable and thus I walked out with Eau de Minthe eau de parfum, engraved and gift-wrapped beautifully enough to make your jaw drop. He also included some beautiful samples. This store and especially Rogelio’s service are impeccable. Strong contenders for my next purchase include: Orpheon, Eau Rose, Eau Capitale, Lilyphea, Do Son, Philosykos, Lunamaris, L’eau Papier, Fleur de Peau, Eau de Sens, Tam Dao, Eau Duelle, in that order. I can’t wait! They also do refills if you bring the bottle. Only available for their top ten scents, I believe. Definitely a great experience to comfort my soul as I navigate some tough times. No regrets!
Came in again today and smelled EVERYTHING. As per usual, Rogelio was an angel and gave me the whole 9 yards. He knows every single note in every single fragrance and truly took amazing care of me. As such, today I couldn’t help but pull the trigger on Eau Capitale eau de parfum. He engraved it for me and gift-wrapped everything. I found another beautiful scent which I missed last time, Eau Moheli. That is the next one, for sure. Kim and Tina are pretty awesome too! This boutique is the BEST!
Rogelio never disappoints and ALWAYS takes care of me. Picked up a lovely Roses candle today! Thank you to Rogelio and Tina! No matter how packed the store is, the Diptyque team here never fails to make you feel special.
Being the fiend that I am, you bet I went into Diptyque again to find myself another fragrance. I absolutely LOVE Eau Moheli, and Rogelio is the bomb.com. Definitely will need to add Do Son and Eau Rose to my collection. Orpheon and Philosykos are pretty amazing too. You MUST ask for Rogelio. He will go to the ends of the earth for you! Read moreI have been wanting to try Diptyque for ages and when I finally placed my first online order (for 3 city specific candles) I received the order to find 1 of the candles missing, a note stating there should be a welcome gift but nothing to be found, and dented/ ripped matchboxes. I was bummed to say the least given I spent over $250 for 3 average sized candles. After reaching out to their customer service, I decided to take my order to the store front in South Coast. Sonia, the manager, was a breath of fresh air and completely changed my experience and provided me with the candle that was missing and allowed me to exchange the other candles that weren't my cup of tea. She understands how to treat a customer and responded exactly as I would hope from a luxury brand such as Diptyque. Some of her other staff should take a few notes from her..but that's not why I'm writing this review. She went above and beyond and completely rectified my order.
I also heard back from Diptyque's online customer service and they sent me a welcome gift and another set of matches. I'm extremely happy with the service provided after the mix up and I can confidently recommend this company to anyone looking for a luxury candle or gift...
