Honestly, your response just confirms the attitude I experienced at the salon - defensive instead of accountable.

First off, an overcharge is an overcharge. You billed me twice: once for an appointment that was already paid for, and again for not applying my deposit to another. Keeping accurate records is your responsibility, and that clearly didn’t happen. And for the record, you didn’t “notice” the issue — I reached out twice before you refunded me. A simple acknowledgment and apology would have gone a lot further than trying to spin it.

As for makeup, I asked for a soft, natural look — you even said “like Hailey Bieber,” your words. If you chose to go heavier, why not check in or show me the mirror along the way, especially when I told you I’m particular about my makeup? That’s basic client communication, especially when someone’s paying hundreds of dollars for your service.

Regarding the address confusion — yes, your emails had the updated address, but your Google listing still pointed to the old one. Clients shouldn’t have to double-check multiple places before coming in; that’s something you should’ve kept consistent.

And just to clarify, converting my second appointment to makeup wasn’t a favor — I paid you several times more for that service. I gave your salon a chance and unfortunately walked away disappointed.

I had a very bad experience with this salon. I ended up being late to this salon because they still had an old address on there which uber just picked up, I showed them a screenshot as well — Bonnie made a big deal and got very aggressive when I told her I have to cancel the next appointment that I had booked for my friend because she won’t be able to get ready on time. She absolutely refused to not charge me for the cancelled appointment and was raising her voice and I did not want to create more of a scene.

She also kept insisting she can finish my hair style in 20 minutes so I was wrong to cancel subsequent appointment (she took 45-50 minutes to finish it). The hairstyle was not exactly what I asked her and although she had sound very confident on the phone that she can do a certain style with flowers, she couldn’t add the flowers and was shoving the stem in my scalp pretty carelessly and painfully. I was still happy with the hairstyle because it was somewhat what I wanted but I made a mistake of hiring her to do my makeup because I figured I can pay her for the cancelled appointment that way and make it a make up appointment instead.

That was a HUGE mistake. I told her that I needed something natural (face) with smoky eyes. She painted my face up like a clown and didn’t even show me mirror once during. I was devastated and almost screamed when I looked at my reflection in the mirror. It was $225 down the drain. I had to fix it myself later.

I also want to mention the lack of bedside manner (or equivalent for chair-side manner), I kept asking her to speed it up as I was very late to the event and she kept ignoring me.

Cherry on cake is that she overcharged me twice and I had to reach out to them to refund me the rest (did not remember the deposits charged?!). No apologies on that either.

The customer service, empathy and professionalism is absolutely lacking...

If you're thinking about a major hair makeover, whether it's color correction, bleach work, or extensions--do it and don't go anywhere...
