I went to see Ziggy Marley and The Wailers last week. I only went because I usually go to one concert a year, due to my disabilities. I'm usually at home if I'm not at work. I use a cane, so it's hard enough just to get ready to go anywhere, let alone a big venue. Concerts and music are the only things that make me forget about my pain and worries. If I'm going to pay high prices for one event a year, it's not worth going at all.
I usually see Steel Pulse and have the time of my life! Then, one year, I see that they're not headlining and some small band is instead. I was so upset!
It totally affected the entire experience. The sun was still out, hardly anyone had arrived yet, and you could tell that the band was not giving their best performance. I called the bassist to ask why, and he said he didn't want to talk about it.
Then, the year after, they weren't even playing at all! I couldn't believe it. They played there every summer, and it was always right before I went back to school. I'm a special education teacher, so I always need at least some positivity like a Steel Pulse show once a year to get me ready!
I continued to buy very expensive tickets for bands who were just "ok." I wasn't happy or have a blast, especially after this last show. It was incredibly boring. I've seen Ziggy many times, so I was there to people-watch for the price of that ticket. I don't care who you have lined up as a substitution, I'm staying home in protest until Steel Pulse comes back. Think about every single Steel Pulse fan who never came back. It shows with all the empty seats.
Since I've bought so many tickets to so many shows at your venue, for so many years, I think I'm owed a refund. I would accept credit for the same price for another show, but I don't see anyone I like.
Please tell me how you can resolve this for...
Read moreOur concert was 7/31. It was during the week while the OC FAIR was happening. We got there early for the fair, then got in to the Amphitheatre when the gates opened. We had ADA complaint seating. Just note that you must walk across the whole venue in order to get to the ramps to the 2 lower seating areas. No elevators for patrons, only employees. So if someone has a hard time walking long distances make sure they have a wheelchair or scooter. It will be much easier because it is quite a distance. There was a variety of food venders with similar price points but still a little less expensive than the fair itself. Coffee, Desserts, BBQ, Mexican food, beer. Make sure you walk around to all the sections of food vendors before making a decision. I did not notice this until just before intermission when I went to use the restroom. It would have saved me from buying “junk food” (polish sausage) versus a healthier option. Fresh fruit, Corn in a cup, grilled taco. I ended up throwing the sausage away after one bite because it was bland and GREASY. So I was happy to find the corn and ate that. The employees were courteous and helpful with people finding their seats and with making sure those who were not in the correct seat, were asked to move, respectfully. The concert itself was amazing! Sound quality is great and any seat in the house has a great view. I just prefer sitting in the center! We really enjoyed Moris Day and the Time/Kool...
Read moreMy wife Has to have her regular infusion of live reggae music. She saw a Steele Pulse concert advertised at Pacific Amphitheater we talked about it and decided to call our friend to see if they wanted to go. We purchased 4 tickets (with ticket insurance)right behind the mixing desk Once we were inside my wife gets a text that the headliners had a schedule conflict. About 30 min after we arrived. Soon an invisible spokesman reported the same to the audience. My wife and I have had endless conversations about living and operating in the virtual world. My youngest child is 38 and I have been to at least that many concerts here I have attended Veteran theme concerts here. After the fiasco this summer the only way I will enter these gates again is my ashes. Please understand it's not about the money. It is integrity whoever promoted the concert was less than honest. I am sure this is the case I intentionally didn't complete this review to see if anyone was paying attention.. Nothing. .Shame on you PAT it is hard to believe that you let them upsell the ticket insurance to people when you knew they were not respecting the obligation. Seriously I'll be 70 years old next month I've attended concerts in your venue since I was in my thirties I like the facility but not the...
