To begin, I was initially discouraged from making an appt. for the same day- due to Saturdays being busy; however, I was given the option of 2:00 PM. I arrived on time, only to find the salon locked closed. The owner and a hair stylist, Kristina were the only staff, and a cute little friendly dog were in the shop with a hair extension customer. I waited quite a while- the other client had been there since the morning and had some hair issues. Finally, she was done, but then ensued drama about the cost, reducing the cost, with the owner’s permission; on her way out, promising to venmo the reduced amount, in order to meet her friends later than expected (despite several calls from them). The owner’s offer of a deep conditioning (“complimentary- generally $45-$65”) was appreciated, as an exchange for the protracted time spent waiting, following her application of color.

Finally, Kristina quickly cleaned her station, found her cell phone, and began cutting, or more like chopping off my hair. She had referred to the picture I brought in, and confirmed I asked for a trim to be shoulder length, I cautioned her that my curly hair actually dries short, as it curls up. But she just kept cutting, then evening out the thickness, until the longest part 6 inches above my shoulders!

It felt like I was the punished scapegoat for her previous client. This young lady ended up sending her 2/3 of the cost for her 3 rows of extensions, following the redo of the 2 rows poorly done elsewhere; after she spent several hours.
