Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove Showroom — Local services in Costa Mesa

Three years ago, we changed our whole kitchen to Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove products. This was a big mistake. While they are beautiful products and work well when they work it is not worth the repair hassle. These products do break a lot even though they cost 3 times more than other products on the market and they only use Box Appliance for repairs. Box Appliance in So. Cal has appointments booked out months out so you will not have a working appliance for some time. When Box Appliance does finally make it to your home after many rescheduled appointments due to staffing and computer issues you will find the repair staff to be incompetent and unable to repair your appliance. I highly recommend visiting the showroom(make an appointment if you can), if you're looking into investing in their appliances. It really helped in making our decision to purchase. At the showroom you can see all the different models but cannot purchase directly from them. You can also see different set ups and try a variety of the ranges, elec. stoves and their induction cooktops. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They also had a chef that was making baked goods and food items to sample and enjoy. Our Sub-zero has 2 compressors- the freezer works but the refrigerator section is not cooling. Called these folks who sent over a technician and he said that there was no refrigerant and has to be re-charged but as they do not make R-12 anymore he claimed that the entire compressor and coils had to be replaced at a cost of about $4000 . I asked him whether he has heard of One-Hot refrigerant which is ozone friendly and is a replacement for R-12 . The technician said that they do not use One-Shot plus and walked away.
